Happy New Year 2012

yo. happy new year. welcome to 2012.

so where did i go for countdown last night? instead of squeezing ourselves with the bangalas over at Marina area, we decided to hold out countdown at Henderson Waves - Southern Ridges. yeahh.. we will be so freaking high up, enjoying the night breeze, eating of potato chips and playing overnight Saboteur. how awesome isn't it? =DD

before that, we meet at Vivo City to have our dinner at Superdog, and then over to Giant to buy 2.8litres of water and 2 giant packets of potato chips to maintain throughout the whole night.

left Vivo at around 11.30pm, took a bus over to Telok Blangah, and climb the super long staircases up to the bridge.

found an empty space to fit the whole 8 of us =D

immediately, we started spamming countless rounds of Saboteur games until 12am. from our height view, we managed to see the fireworks over at Vivo. however, due to the bushes/forest/big trees that blocked all the view. we only managed to see tiny little fireworks. sad!

well, 12am has past. fireworks ended. continued Saboteur games haha. we really played alot of rounds, it was so happening that we kept on screaming when we won the game. it's all about teamwork if you can buddy well with your friends of the same role. haha

we played really alot of rounds until 4am plus when we decided to walk to Queensway McDonald's for breakfast. stopped all games, started packing up, and not forgetting some group pictures before we left..

it was also when i started feeling the damn pain and soreness on my throat. DAMN, it's a sign!!

off we go, and explore the whole Telok Blangah Hill Park at this hour, 4am plus. we planning to walk over the bridge, cut into the Telok Blangah Hill Park, through the metal elevated walk-way, and out to Hort Park which we can link to Queensway easily.

but, never did we know that the elevated walk-way was blocked half way. yes, we walked such a long way to find out that it was blocked. no choice, but to u-turn and go by another way, cutting through by Depot Road.

it was such a long walk when we decided to stop and rest over at one of the playground over at Depot Road. instead of walking to Queensway Mac, we decided to call for McDelivery. but then, too bad our locations were all currently unavailable due to heavy order at our area. looks like Mac is having damn good business. haha

we sat down there, at the playground. all ended up sleepy and tired, no one wanted to walk to Mac anymore. but checking bus apps for the first bus timing. i was having damn bad sore throat and headache, luckily i lived nearby, and my first bus is early =D before 6am, took bus 57 back to my house, quickly went home and catch my sleep at 6.30am!

yeahh.. i hate to sleep away my precious time. sooo, alarm set for 3 hours later, and i woke up at 9.30am =D down with fever, bodyache, headache and sore throat. what a good 2012.

anyway, but still....

and finally it's the very last day of 2011. some flashback of my fruitful 2011.

well, as compared to last year, i have more gatherings, more overseas trips, more outdoor adventurous activities and more run this year.

a very healthy and adventurous year. lots of cycling, rollerblading, amazing race, camping and running etc.

and yes, i joined a total of 9 marathon runs this year. kind of exaggerated, but it's the truth. addicted in all those races. haha

and yeah, i still love travelling. from short trip to long trip. from nearby country to somewhere further. i love every single trip, be it with friends or family. i got to travel more next year xD

and besides all these, i still have normal gathering with different batch of friends. from HSS to NP to subct buddies to Feriae. and the most gatherings are still with the Feriae clique. yeah..

Sakae Sushi Buffet

a long planned Sakae Sushi buffet after Christmas, on the in-lieu of christmas since it's a pay back holiday for us. haha. we decided to have it over at the *SCAPE branch. and it's considered a public holiday, the price goes by weekend charge. pretty expensive sia, $21.99++

anyway, it's a pretty waste for me to eat sushi buffet. i don't eat expensive food like Sashimi. i don't eat roe either. any sushi comes with those roe, too bad for me then. and then, alot those kind of Unagi, those octopus. etc. BUT STILL, i love sushi. although i don't eat those, but i can always eat others, more normal common looking one. like Tuna, Crabmeat, Prawn, Egg......

well, we made full use of the buffet time. we literally ate from 3pm to 6pm. haha. so damn bloated after eating so much sushi. so much of rice, so much of carbohydrate. i felt damn terrible with bloating stomach.

lesson learnt: don't have such big appetite, don't eat buffet. hahaha

was supposed to go home after that, but we ended up spamming pictures at Somerset MRT station, like unwilling to leave yet. haha

Christmas Steamboat

yeah.. Merry Christmas everyone. Joshua decided to organise a Christmas gift exchange and steamboat event over at his house during Christmas, all foods would be sponsored by his parent. how nice of them.

and so, since his parent don't allow us to pay anything, we decided to buy something up to his house, instead of going there empty-handed. random shop and we ended up buying a pre-packed cake in a box. yes, all of us have no idea how it looked like inside. nevermind, take it as a surprise. hahaha.

finally, this time round, we have a bigger steamboat pot as compared to the previous time we had such a pathetic small pot. too bad, there's so limited of sausages and cheese tofu. so fast all finished already, left lots and lots of mushrooms. all kinds of mushrooms! haha

yay, and after eating. we have a christmas exchange programme. everyone was asked to bring a gift for christmas exchange. our budget line was only less than $10. we wrote down all our names and then everyone picked one slip each. i picked Moo's name and Audrey picked mine. sooooo, i received the gift from Moo and my gift was given to Audrey.

haha. i bought an organiser, just nice Audrey is still schooling, it's pretty useful to her rather than those who wasn't schooling. hah, like me! an organiser would be useless to me though. and Moo's gift was actually a pen and a fan. it's a fan pen. like so cool. use the pen for writing, half way can blow wind hahaha.

Christmas is round the corner.

yay, we decided to go around Orchard to take all Christmas trees picture. i think we started the photos taking too late, at 10.30pm. later confirmed miss the lsat bus back home =X

haha. all Edmund's fault. he went to meet his friend, and we have to wait for him to join us back after meeting them. in the end he only came and meet us at 10.30pm.

time to all chiong for home.

it was around 12.30am when we left the place. no choice, we still have 3 trees not yet taken, have to give it a miss. and sadly speaking, i have already missed my only last 124 like 45 minutes ago.

and so i followed Shun An to take bus 65 back to Bukit Purmei, at least it's somewhere near my home, i take cab also not that expensive. walked back home with him, and then i decided to might as well walk home loh.

haha. started my night walk at 12.53am, in the quiet and calm night. i am so brave huh! haha, plug in my earpiece and wtched show while walking. so not scared someone might followed me behind, oops! haha. and home at 1.25am! yay!~

My 23rd Birthday

heh, after like so many outings which we hold it at the central or west area, finally we realised we should at least had it once at the east area, to be fair to Ting Yu who have always been travelling down from Pasir Ris.

this time round its Ting Yu who suggested to have a zichar dinner at Pasir Ris Elias area, haha she kept emphasising that the foods there are really very nice. since its so highly recommended by her, we shall all give it a try, and so all of us shall make our way down all the way to the east!

and it was Joshua first reunion gathering with us ever since he flew to Australia to study in July. he just got back Singapore for vacation break xD

after dinner, we just randomly find a spot at Pasir Ris Elias CC to celebrate birthday. the most funny part, they wanted to surprise me with the birthday cake, but they ended up coming to me and ask me for the lighter to light the candles. and they still tell me to pretend don't know anything. lol. hah my bunch of lame friends xD

they insist to squeeze all 5 candles on top of the small slice of mango cake, and i blew the candles off one by one. i got skills one leh, managed to blow it off one by one without affecting the candles beside it =D

we loitered around the place till 10 plus going 11pm before making our way back to the MRT station. it's gonna be a super long journey back for all of us, especially foe Joshua and Moo who stayed at Bukit Panjang area. hahaha.

Standard Chartered Marathon 2011

after close to one month, my 9th and last run for the year 2011, Standard Chartered Marathon 2011. and looks like Standchart is one of the major run of the year, even MRT extended their service till 24 hours.

although the 24 hours train doesn't benefit me since i'm only running for 10km, my flag off time is at 7.30am. but still, i have to crawl up and get ready at 5am, meeting Moo at City Hall together.

anyway, it was very crowded over at the baggage deposit area, we queued from 7.15am to 7.45am just to deposit our bags. and by right, our flag off time is at 7.30am. and there's a serious human jam over at the esplanade bridge towards the starting pen. we only managed to reach the starting pen at around 8am, a total of 30 minutes delay.

and seriously, it was so muddy over at the baggage deposits area due to the rain the night before, haven't even start my shoes already buang. so dirty!

oh well, looks like the half marathon runners have a much more interesting route, they got to run inside USS. haha like so awesome. and 10km is still the usual Marina area. haha.

and... one hour plus later, finally i'm back. waited for Ginnette and then we proceeded out to retrieve our bags, was kinda lost where did we deposit our bags earlier on. haha.

we met up with Ginnette's brother, Damien, who had just completed his 21km run. woohoo, well done! i remembered bumping into him at my 7 - 8km junction.

like so cool, they dressed up like this to run sia. i remembered my friend told me there's even power rangers too. but i did not seen it. so interesting, they must be perspiring inside like mad, i supposed.

and after the run, i walked from City Hall to Bugis to meet my mum. yes, i used walking. i don't know why but i really walked all the way there. so tired ahhhh.

December Babies 23rd Birthday

Woohoo, it's December finally. my favourite month of the year haha, we decided to hold a birthday celebration for all December babies at Playnation. usually i always celebrate the birthday with Lisa and Wai Keong, but for this year Wai Keong was stuck in camp, so it's only left with Lisa and me.

with our birthday 3 days apart from each other. we decided to have an advance birthday today, on the 3rd December =D it's kinda sad, Daphne unable to come and Audrey will be late, but still... we have Ginnette and Shalee. the four of us proceed over to Playnation to have fun first while waiting for Audrey's arrival hahaha.

Heartland Explorer: Night Cycling 5

wheeee!!~ Night Cycling is back, it's the 5th night cycling that the Woodlands YEC had organised. i participated in all except the 4th one which was held during May 2011. yes, because it clashed with my Sundown so i had no choice but to give up the 4th one.

and now, i'm back for the 5th one =D together with Edmund, Ginnette, Jeremy and Ting Yu, we gathered at Woodlands CC and wait for the start of the cycling.

seriously, this 5th night cycling was like a torture to all of us. as compared to the previous 3 times, this one was far more worse. i didn't and never think of going up the lorry for the previous times, but for this.. i really have the urge to dump my bike and sit up the lorry, waiting for it to drive me back to ECP.

BUT... i managed to endure all the way to the ending point.

yay. finally time to set off at 10pm. cycled for 1 hour to reach our first pit stop at Kraji Reservoir. so far so good, still feeling fine. butt feeling okay, legs feeling okay, everything okay. still can continues haha.

well, rested for awhile before setting off again. cycled for another 1hour to Jurong Point. we even travelled pass Cemetery, and there was once a very long down slope, i was cycling in full speed when my lanyard hanging my phone break and my phone just flew out and fell hard on the ground. my poor phone full of scratches now, luckily it was my old phone.

i had to do E- break immediately, luckily i didn't fly off lol. the speed was so fast that my bike and phone were a long distance away from each other. haha. anyway, shagged.. i already started to feel tired when we reached our pit stop. we dropped by at the McDonald's for a rest and supper. we were give 45 minutes of rest before going off

and yes, now here comes the most hellish ride. i thought from Pasir Panjang, they will go by the main road, then bypass my house towards Vivo area and then over to Bugis, like the 3rd Night Cycling.

BUT NO... they went a totally different route. a more tedious and hectic route. we went all the way up to the Kent Ridge Park, seriously the route is long and curl and most importantly, it was going up slope. super long up slope, turning round and round up.

and this was the longest ride to our next pit stop, we took almost 2 hours to reach. imagine of cycling 2 hours non-stop.

so tired that we sat there and sleep. rested for like 30 minutes or so before getting the green light that we have to move on.

i am super duper tired. my legs and butt hurt the most. and i have to force myself to continue. we continued all the way till our last pit stop, somewhere at Geylang area. stopped at some random place, we don't care where are we, immediate jump off from the bike, sitting right infront of some shop houses and slept there. really, we slept for like 1 hour, it was around 6am that we finally took on our last journey all the way back to East Coast Park.

and yes, it was around 6am that we were all asked to move on. the very last lap already, towards our destination at East Coast Park.

move move... MOVE. well, it was 6 in the morning already, it's getting more and more crowded with people started to leave for work, etc. transportation is getting heavy and we have to be very careful looking out for incoming traffic.

i tried my very last best to endure all the way back to East Coast Park, and I DID IT!!! it was indeed a very tough 9 hours of cycling journey. it's like an endurance test to me, forcing myself to complete it without getting up the lorry.

my whole body ached alot. my shoulder, my hands, my legs, my butt... and i lost my beauty sleep. we were so tired that we decided to head home immediately, don't even bother to have breakfast at Mac first. after signing off with the organiser, we made our way out to the main road in our so-super-no-energy-legs. Ting Yu took bus back as she lives at Pasir Ris, while the rest of us shared cab together since we live nearby to each other.

well, in celebration of Audrey's birthday again, with Feriae this time round. we decided to gave dinner at Clarke Quay area, because if later suddenly got people feel like going drinking or dancing, it will be the most convenient place. haha. just opposite only =D

but nah, after that the birthday girl don't wanna go, so after dinner, cut cake, photo, dilly-dally till almost midnight and everyone go home.

haha. just one step down and i'll be floating on the river...

i'm on leave today. haha. just nice i'm able to join Audrey, Daphne and Lisa for morning dim sum at Toa Payoh Swatow Seafood Restaurant. well, highly recommended by Daphne haha. anyway the dim sum wasn't that bad, everything $50+. considered not cheap actually since we did not order alot. i can eat more delicious and better dim sum at Chinatown at a more affordable price.

but i have decided to bring my parent come here eat one day. at least try other places for once. haha.

haha. since we were with Audrey the whole day, we can only ask Shalee to help buy the cake first, and she ended up buying some long chocolate bread instead of cake lol. the shop owner told her it's highly recommended haha so she bought it.

November Gathering: Playnation

yay, and our next gathering will be at Playnation. time to have some fun playing board games xD we went for the 3 hours package which include free flow of drinks and popcorn, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

time flies seriously fast when we are having fun. we only played like 5 games and it's time to leave already.

well, first game we choose to try out this Chairs game. we have to try all ways to stack up these mini plastic chairs as high as possible. seriously, not that easy as some are round legs, some have one side short leg, etc. it kept falling down as the higher we tried to stack.

and next game, another stacking game, Uno Stacko. hahaha, we are pretty good in it though xD it managed to go up quite high.

next game, the best and most violent game - Uglydoll! hahahah. i love this game, a chance for you to whack your friend. we played until so rough, snatching of card, hitting the tables and hands, screaming of UGLY UGLY non stop. aftermath of the games, bruises and scratches on the hand, lol.

next game True Colors, kind of boring to me. a game to see how well you know your friend, also can sabo your friend. haha. there's a card of questions, and according to the questions, we have to answer it who suited the answer the most.

hahaha. this Jurassic Park is one of my favourite game. the aim of the game is to snatch the dog bone. lol. we have to exchange the number of card with whoever has the same number to exchange with, until we got all same colours. once we have all the same colours, secretly take one bone, and wait for the rest to realise the missing bone. last person to discover it will be the loser. hahha

yeah, Hari Raya Haji which falls on a Sunday. Ginnette's mum actually open a bbq for her family and we, the Epsilon+1 was invited as well.

ever wonder who was the +1? yes, none other buy Ting Yu. hahaha. i was supposed to meet up early at Ginnette's house to help carry things over to East Coast Park. but i was held up at Botanic Garden early in the morning with my parent.

anyway, i still managed to meet up with them at Tiong Bahru MRT platform, help to carry things also. yea i not flower pot LOL.

yeahh, after playing. most of the people arrived already, and Ginnette's papa reached as well. haha. we went over to his van and helped carry everything over. and the most power is that, he brought the whole gas along!!! LIKE WOW!!!

we started bbq-ing the nuggets, sausages and so on first, however the nuggets skin kind of get stuck, sausages get burnt, etc. so in the end, we gave up on the bbq part and solely focus on the gas, the stove and the pot to fried all the foods.

at least we got better fully-cooked finger foods, and of course, it would taste better! haha. and so, we were not here for bbq, but for frying foods lol.

and finally, our superstar Shun An arrived as well. haha the very busy friend of ours, getting himself committed with so many stuffs. the moment he came, everyone started spamming photos together, and he's a super big eater for chicken wings. i can say that most of the chicken wings are inside his stomach.

and we dig and dig and dig more scandals out, it was so happening that Edmund was found to be The New Era Version of Wei Xiao Bao. he has got so many wives, and more funny was that we were linking and linking all the "wives" together and number them from 1 to 7. and shocking news was... i am actually the first wife! haha. "scandal" with him since GV days due to that paparazzi photo that Shun An took.

Istana Open House

yay, decided to visit the Istana as its Deepavali, a public holiday. if i'm not wrong, Istana Open House is only on the last Friday of every month and on a public holiday.

since its a non-working day, we shall go there to see see look look especially when i have been living in Singapore for 22 over years, and i have been the before.

meet at Plaza Singapura first, but the weather almost spoilt our plan. it rained heavily all of a sudden, but luckily it stopped eventually.

yeahhh! rain stopped, time to queue up and move in. one line each for both Singaporeans and Foreigners, and local people of course got the express lane. flash your pink IC for immediate access lol. but then, we still got stuck at the bag scanning part.

the place is like a mini botanic garden. its a long walk towards those booth area, there's a mini bird area from the Jurong Bird Park, we were down there for quite sometimes before the rain came attacking us again. yes, this time round, we were in the middle of nowhere, but under 2 booths only.

anyway, walked out of the place, back to Plaza Singapura. while walking back, there's a booth selling Singapore umbrellas, Ginnette and me each bought one. haha. it's so cute, in red and white with Singapore flag. patriotic huh! hahaha.

and yea, my slipper snapped half way, so i went to randomly bought a pair of slipper for myself. choose the most cheapest one, at $5 only haha. and then, dinner at Long John Silver tho..

a very impromptu drink drink session after work. it all hapened inside twitter conversation, haha long story though, but it happened pretty fast. 4pm plus then we decided to meet out after work for a drink :)

initially, we wanted to go Wavehouse @ Sentosa. but it rained all of a suuden, spoiling all our plan, no point going there since it's an open kind of bar place, all seats would be wet due to the rain. but still, we went into Sentosa, paying the $1 entrance fee, and have our drink drink session at Hard Rock Cafe instead.

and talked about my drink, it was so super sweet, i wondered did they just replace the alcohol with syrup instead? i'm here to get high, not to come here to increase my sugar level. lol. i totally don't taste any alcohol taste at all, and that glass costed me $14++ arghhh.

and yea, continued from last night. after my one entire night partying at Rebel and Zirca, i went out with my mother until 12pm, came back home, washed up and then went to sleep.

i remembered clearly i set my alarm clock at 2pm, but i snoozed and snoozed my alarm till 5.20pm. woke up in a shock because i set the meeting time at 5.30pm at Vivo City, with Audrey, Edmund and Moo. yes. supposed to meet 5.30pm, and then walked over to Sentosa at 6pm to attend Ting Yu's 21st birthday party.

anyway, i rushed and chionged and bathe and changed and flew down to Vivo. luckily i lived near to Vivo, it's like 99% of the buses at the bus stop bring me to Vivo. any bus come, i just board :)
i managed to reach at around 6pm =) yea walked over to Sentosa through Sentosa Boardwalk, and then hunt our way for Hard Rock Hotel.

October Gathering: Clubbing @ Rebel/Zirca

back to our monthly gathering after skipping for one month. we decided to go clubbing at Rebel and Zirca. wooohhh.. dance dance drink drink jump jump go ki siao.

so nightlife was settled, and yea movie before our nightlife. i did an online booking for the movie, Real Steel, a few days before. and for the first time, i reached Plaza Singapura much more earlier than the meeting time. haha. got improvement huh, i used to always be the last!~ lol since i'm early, i went to collect my movie tickets first at GV Plaza.

Real Steel was indeed an awesome movie. everyone who watched that movie definitely would like that little boy, Max in the show. he's so adorable, his interaction with his father and his tiny robot, Atom. so freaking great! definitely worth my 1 hour plus of watching. hahaha.

and then, took train one stop down to Clarke Quay. it was said that before 11pm, they only charge us $16, and after 11pm would be $28. so we immediately went over to Rebel to purchase the entrance ticket and to get stamp on our hand.

anyway, lao da could not join us today as he suddenly got work the next day? or later? ahhh cannot remember. but for sure, he couldn't join us :( so he accompanied us loitering around Clarke Quay area till he catch his last train back home.

at around 2am plus, Eugene had to leave because he is going to USS the next day. sadly, from 4 now only left with 3 to party. continued the migrating game to and fro Zirca and Rebel until 4.30am. LIGHTS ON! time to leave. good times ended pretty fast.

we walked from Clarke to Lucky Chinatown McDonald's to kill time. we're waiting for the first bus back home though. by the way, i think i'm getting old. cannot really stay up the whole night, i'm feeling very sleepy over at McDonald's. nap for awhile before getting myself my breakfast, and air-con inside like free of charge, freezing like mad!!

couldn't stand the freezing place, and so we left the place after eating. decided to sit at the MRT staircase there, refreshing our SG Buses apps to track our first bus timing.

anyway, my bus 124 came about at 6.10am. and surprisingly, i bumped into Chu Jie inside the bus, at that hour. he's so early, like me! hahaha. well, he went for some friend birthday celebration until now sia.

and after i reached home, i thought i will go sleep immediately. but no, i still went out with my mama until 12pm plus then go home sleep :)

Nike We Run SG 10K

the eighth run for this year, and also my most favourite run. the best and cheapest run of all. only $25 for 10km. well, still have to dedicate 100 millions thanks to Lisa who helped to buddy register with her as i was over at Macau when the registration opened. if not, there goes my favourite run as it was only opened for 3 days, and all slots were fully taken in 2 days time. That was amazingly FAST, and showed how popular this run was :)

meet up with my running khakis and took train down together. seriously, the whole entire train was flooded with red people. and after we alighted, there's still a short walking distance over to the starting point.

crossed the starting line, and poof off we run. seriously, this was one of my better run as well, although the running route is more or less the same as my previous run. and the weather very hot, it's like burning my face while i run.

and Nike actually has this Live Tracking thingy too. we must go facebook to link it first before running so when i crossed the 5km line, it will showed my timing and auto post to facebook, and when i reached the finishing line, it will also auto post it out. like so cool eh! it's really doing a live tracking to my facebook world. lol.

and the best thing for Nike run was that... the distance marker for the last 1km actually break down to 750m, 500m, 250m. it was like cheering and motivating me to run, because when i was about to stop and walk, i saw the distance marker showing that i am so so so so much closer to the finishing point. and so i just kept on going and going, and surprisingly i did not stop at all for that last 1km.

completed the run, collected my finisher item, walked the zig zag path, under the super hot sun, out to find an empty spot for me to sit and rest my tired legs.. and wait for the rest of my friends :D

Mizuno Wave Run 2011

tadaaa... my seventh run for this year. ahahah i think i'm mad already, i actually joined 3 runs in September. every week go for one running events lol.

and this run was at Bedok Reservoir, finally a new running route instead of the very common a
usual Marina area. but to think of the dead bodies found there recently *pray*, don't go near the water =S haha.

and Moo overslept. i waited for him at my house bus stop for quite sometime for him to drive from Bukit Panjang to my place, and then all the way to Bedok Reservoir. we reached there 15 minutes before the flag off time, but then we could not find any parking lot nearby. in the end, he drove to a very far parking place at some HDB area, and we have to take bus over to the Bedok Reservoir.

and what's worse, when we finally boarded the bus, Moo then realised he left his race bib in the car. godamnit, so he alighted at the next bus stop and ran his way back to his car to take it, while i stay in the bus and go all the way to the starting point.

the run started off at 7.30am, while i only started mine at 7.45am. haha. and i'm not in my best running condition today, due to the over-exert dance yesterday which hurts my butt and legs badly, i spammed alot of counterpain, muscle rub, yokoyoko, etc which gave me the damn burning feel on my thigh.

so when i started running till 4km, the burning sensation acts up, burning my back thigh. i struggled myself to complete the remaining 6km with the burning feeling following me throughout ='( so freaking painful!

immediately went to look for him after collecting my finisher tee and my bags. yea, to say hi talk cock sing song, since he's standing down there to wait for brother's girlfriend, Moo and me also stand down there to wait for Shu Hua.

yes, that will be my sixth run for this year - Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2011. i joined this run under corporate team, with the SubCt Sports Committee. this was the only run which will be subsidised by SubCt. i only paid $5 for it. hahaha.

and as usual, same as last year. i only joined 6km Fun Run with the rest of my friends. ran too many 10km run, suddenly dropped down to 6km, feeling abit.... bored. lol.

didn't really take the run seriously. slow jog, walk, chit-chat, stopped by to take photo. lol. accompanying Lisa, motivating her. our next plan is to make Lisa join 10km run with us in future. JIA YOU!!

MIZUNO WAVE RUN 2011

SAFRA Singapore Bay Run

whee. fifth run for the year, SAFRA Singapore Bay & ARMY Half Marathon 2011. yes, just exactly one week right after my KOTR. i think i must be mad, run and run non-stop.

anyway, i almost gonna missed this run. i took 124 there, never expected that the road was blocked, bus route changed due to the run. i wanted to alight at City Hall area, but it looped to the other direction. i thought it would stopped somewhere near Bugis area, so i can walk over. but then the bus bring me to Orchard area instead.

damn, alighted at Takashimaya there, wanted to take a cab there, but all taxi drivers doesn't bring me over there due to heavy road blockage. i have no choice but to walk from Orchard Central to Dhoby Ghaut, and take train over there.

there's so many people there, flooded with so many army boys. i had such a hard time looking for the baggage deposit area, only did i realise there's no booth for baggage. it's somewhere place on the ground, with barrier to block it. wth, search like. and then immediately went over to the starting point to look for Ginnette. we were actually late for 30 minutes, 10km runners has already flagged off. we ended up starting the run together with the 5km runners.

well, we started together with the 5km runners, and was following them blindly. there's a point which the 10km runners have to u-turn extra distance inside. however, due to the fact that the rest of the runners around us were all 5km runners, we overlooked the sign saying "10km runners turned right"... and followed them.

it was only until we reached the first water point when we realised we missed out one u-turn. my handphone was like tracking at 2.8km, but the sign board for 10km runner was already at 4km. i was like what the hell!!!! make us totally no mood to run since the distance already all inaccurate ='(

woohoo. my fourth run for this year - Adidas King Of The Road. this would be my first time running 16.8km. so far, i have never tried running for more than 10km before, and all of a sudden i am running 16.8km. hopefully, i can survive.

had to share cab with Ginnette, Dickson and hos friend in the morning. yea, by way of taxi-hopping. Dickson will take cab from Clementi and all the way down to our house area to pick us up.

we alighted at somewhere near Esplanade area, and and and yeah i saw Rui Feng patrolling down there. haha. he was busy lah, so didn't went up to him. anyway, quickly walked over to the starting point at The Padang. it was super duper early, the sky was still so dark. deposited our bags and then walked over to the starting point.

here we go, off we run

it's gonna be a long run. started off with slow jog in order to maintain the stamina. and it's true that running slowly can maintain the stamina. i still felt full of energy when i reached 10km.

i was running together with Dickson and Ginnette until 13km, it was until there that i decided to run off for the last 3.8km myself to the finishing point. i see my handphone battery showing me the deadly red bar, and i was tracking my distanc half way only. so i have to chiong off to the finishing line lol.

yes, it was when my energy was drained out, i used up everything for the last 3.8km. i need to rest badly...

if it's my normal run, i would have completed it..
BUT now... i still have 6.8km more to go ><

and and.. .COMPLETED FINALLY after 2.5 hours...

after collecting my finisher medal, immediately dropped down to the grass field and rest. i am so tired after the run. waited for sometimes before i finally found them walking to the other end of the field.

August Gathering: STGCC 2011

after so many gathering, the organising baton finally passed down to me, i have to plan something for August :/ with the help of my co-organiser, Seok Chin, we finally decided to go Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) 2011.

we went down to Iluma to buy the tickets on Friday, which was like just 2 days ago. haha. pretty last minute huh! we wanted to buy the tickets online, however it was closed already. no choice, but to go down to Iluma after work loh, and the organiser who is me has to pay $50 first for all the tickets :D

anyway, we meet 1pm at Suntec City. headed over to the convention and wait for our Rui Feng Lao Da, the only latecomer. haha. power lah him, he lost his way at Suntec. hahahaha. i made so many calls to him, until he finally managed to find his way from the arcade to the convention area. it was like so far away though.

we walked to the Starbucks located at the very far end of Suntec, near the Carrefour there. but it was fully packed with people, not a single seats for us. no choice, but to move our legs and walked back to the Starbucks Coffee which was located opposite Marina Square.

instead of sitting inside the air-con seats, we sat at the outside open sitting area because our dear Eugene needs a puff. *blow blow cigarette* hahah. seriously, outside is very hot LOL.

Natsu Matsuri 2011

it's Natsu Matsuri again. i had work on that Saturday morning, so i managed to escape myself from queueing up outside the school at 2pm, under the super hot sun. haha.

i rushed myself down to Simei after work, to meet the rest who were queueing up just to be the first few to go in, and rent their Yukata. i reached there at around 3pm plus, just in time to go in together with them with out advance tickets.

we managed to be the first few queueing up for rental. but still, we waited for quite long though. went inside, and this year was different from last year, we got to choose what colour Yukata to wear, haha. i choose the pink one :P and standard, all the guys chose blue one.

well, after that we met up with Yuuwa, Ginnette's friend. he ended up becoming our photographer for the day. hahaha. anyway, his photography skills were good.

we went to the corner of the place to have some photoshoot before moving on to look around.

it was so crowded today. those booth all with super long queue, we have to queue for quite long to get what we want to buy. as usual, we bought Japanese Curry Rice to share, then sausage, ice cream, etc.

too many people inside, so we proceeded outside to the green field. super spacious, even with a stage to see performances. it's still as crowded, but at least we can breathe outside. we found a spot for ourselves, and then started spamming pictures.

yay, it was said that during the month of August, there's a free entry to Singapore Museum for all Singaporeans and PRs to celebrate National Day.

we decided to have a museums tour on today. with so many museums located around, we decided to visit the Singapore Philatelic Museum, to see stamps =D there's lots of interesting stamps inside, like since the early part of Singapore.

well, we spent like 2 hours plus inside Singapore Philatelic Museum, next we decided to head off to Perenakan Museum which was just one way down the road. anyway, i don't really like that place, not interested in Baba and Nyonya. haha but i still went, to see see look look loh.

the only part that interest me is to look for different stamps to imprint it on the piece of round paper. like some little kid sia. lol

Forest Adventure

time to have some fun outdoor activities, my first time to Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir. we need to pay like $35, i cannot remember tho but it's around that price.

attended a short briefing on safety and regulations. have to practice how to make sure we're secure at all time. so many things to hook and unhook. lock here and there just to make sure we don't fell down accidentally. it's a very dangerous activities.

i'm pretty nervous when first attempt for the flying fox, have to fly over from this side to the other side, and right below me is the reservoir. what if i fell and drown? lol.

nevertheless, i had lots of fun today. being my first time playing such hyper active activities. it's tiring, bring back lots of bruises, scratches, pain, blue-black etc. however, it was worth the experience, at least for once :)

SHAPE Run'11

and yes, my third run for this year. immediate right after my Marina 21K, 10km run last evening. in less than 12 hours of rest, i'm going for another run. lol.

this was my most expensive run for this year, $55 for either 10km or 5km?! haha. actually Lisa was the one who initiate it first, she seldom do running, and since she has the passion for it, why not just join together to motivate and encourage her :) and so, all of us accompany her to join just 5km. hopefully, she can build some confident, and join us for 10km next time round =D

anyway, we reached there just in time. no time to take pictures, immediate have to deposit our bags and proceed over to the starting point.

apparently, i attempt to run normally in my normal speed. but looks like the after-effect from last night 10km was taking effect. i got no energy, no strength and no power to run, and my legs are in pain. thank god i only joined 5km!

and then i slowed down, from running, to jogging, to walking LOL!~ since we were already in this kind of running condition, we ended up taking some photos with those distance marker =D

Marina 21K (10km) Run

here comes my second running event for this year, Marina 21K. there's 2 running category, but my standard still low, so we only go for the 10km run.

it's another evening run, there's no need for us to wake up super early in the morning to chiong the first train. anyway, there's a shuttle bus available at various MRT station which bring us to the race site. one look at the race site, it looked really budgeted. probably because it's their first time organising.

this run doesn't give any running singlet, so we can choose to wear ANY shirt for the run. but once we complete the run, we're entitled one finisher tee =D well, for easily spotted purpose, Audrey, Daphne, Ginnette and me decided to wear our last year Nike run tee. bright striking luminous green to attract attention lol.

this was a new running route set in the newly minted Bay East at Gardens by the Bay of Singapore. An evening race, runners will get to set foot on the footpaths that winds through Marina Bay, Tanjong Rhu and Kallang River Basin.

seriously, it was a very very hot evening. especially when nearing to sunset time, the sun was scorching hot, burning us like mad. i can felt that one side of my face is almost melting.

and one thing i'm pretty sad that, how come the distance marker stopped after 3km. i was like running for the remaining 7km without knowing how long have i run. it's like a never-ending-run because i totally have no idea how long more distance to the finishing line =( it's so torturing to not know when will the run end loh.

finally.... after an hour plus, i completed my 10km.. woohoo!~

Dinner & Dance: Safari Night

Dinner and Dance is back this year, for both Supreme and Subordinate Courts. the theme for this year was Safari Night. time to dress like hunter or animals? hahaha.

anyway, again, the event is held on a Friday night. very troublesome you know. have to work one whole day before going for the event. what about those people who need to do night court? chiong down after night court? and what if the JO for the night is WCN?! hahaha ho seh liao!~ no need go already lol.

well, up to level 9 toilet after work to get changed with my friends in SCT. a very quiet and peaceful toilet because no outsiders or public will be able to go up there :) it's a little corner for us lol.

another last minute gathering of the girls to go have a last walk at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Track. seriously, it was a damn sudden decision. decided at 12pm plus and the meeting time is at 2pm. lol. too sudden until Ginnette and Shalee couldn't make it. the most best part, Lisa was only informed at 1.30pm LOL.

it was an extremely hot Sunday. we were there to get burnt, feed mosquitoes.. all for the sake of the last visit to the Railway Track before they demolish it :'( we spent like 2 hours plus under the hot sun there, walking to the extreme right first, and then back to the left. basically nothing, just railway track. nothing to say, pictures will do!

July Gathering: Movie Dinner

hoho, ever since the previous outing at the Nightwatch in April, here comes back to our monthly gathering after 3 months. a simple movie plus dinner outing, as usual :)

we watched Transformers: Dark of the Moon at GV Plaza, heh. i love Golden Village :D anyway, the show wasn't that bad, although there's too much talking. i admit i fell asleep during some of the talking part lol. and was woken up only when the fighting part appear due to the super loud noises. haha. but most of the part, i'm wide awake!

NP Gathering @ Timbre Substation

the never-gonna-happen class gathering finally happened! ever wonder how this never-gonna-happen thingy comes about? yeahh, Liting has been trying to organise a few class gathering since don't know how many months ago, and it always ended up "not happening" at all.

Island-wide Amazing Race

yeahh, another Amazing Race organised by the Woodlands YEC, this time round it was more to an island-wide race. we would be travelling to more location, north south east west... everywhere

form in a team of 5, Audrey, Ginnette, Moo, Ting Yu and me. gathering point would be at Woodlands, each team will be given a race goodies bag which includes 5 bottles of water, 5 packets of biscuits, some energy bar, ponchos and whistle.

after all teams were gathered, we attended a short briefing before the official start of the race. kicking off with looking for our team start card which was hidden in the whole stack of red chairs.

after looking through all the station, we decided to start from the nearest place first and slowly go further down to far places.

and so first station, Republic Polytechnic. we have to look for those people in green, i swear it's so hard to look for them. the whole poly is so big, who the hell know where they are hiding at? we walked for very long before finally found them at some corner. there were actually at somewhere very near the entrance.

started off with some quiz to complete, all of us started browsing handphone, go online and look for the answer. and second quest is to play the bowling made of water bottle. just throw and throw the ball to hit all the bottles down and we're done.

completed station number one, we decided to head further down to Hort Park. this was the worse station we went through, we wasted 2 hours plus at Hort Park looking for some unknown-weird-ridiculous plant name.

yeah, this station dealt with crossword puzzle, we have to go according to the hints and walked around the whole hortpark looking for the correct plants name. there was this stupid Thailand plant name which made us going round and round the Hortpark like mad.

the in-charge there insisted that we completed the round. we went online search but cannot find at all. all our handphones 3G until battery all die! in the end, the in-charge there see us so poor thing, finally sign the paper and let us leave to next station.

we have to base on the picture and look for where the picture was taken, and we have to use our own handphone or camera to take the exact same picture in the same angle.

we were hunting high and low for those pictures, wasted around 1 hour or so.

next up, to Mount Sophia. i think they really purposely placed one station there, the staircase up there is so high. and i bet they will be up to no good, so when climbing up the stair, i counted the steps too.

and true enough, they really asked us how many steps are there. the team before us have no choice but to go all the way down and climb up again counting the steps. while our group, heh, we were prepared. it was 137 steps ^^ hahaha. and when the team before us climbed up for the second time, we were already done with this round! yeahhh!~ say boo to them xD

next station, to SMU School of Accountancy. i don't like this round, we were made to draw henna on our hands. awww, after negotiating with them. we were allowed to draw on our leg instead ^^. at least on leg, i wear long pant can cover, yeah!.

don't really like the smell of henna. heard that henna needs a few days before it really goes off, so i drew a very fine line of the picture, hopefully it will goes off faster and easier.

yeah, Audrey invited us to join her family to go over to Malaysia kelong to fishing. as we have to be at respective meeting point, Kraji or Toa Payoh, at a very early time. Ginnette and me decided to sleep over at Audrey's house.

it has been long since i last slept at someone's house. pretty fun eh, we laid out a mattress and sat on it, it looked as if we were having a picnic inside her room. time to mess up her room, and we randomly found a children pikachu suit. haha, we tried it on for fun xD

well, next morning we prepapred everything in a rush and left the house quickly. the mini bus unexpectedly came too early. it picked us up, then followed by Audrey's mum's friend. and then to Kraji to pick up Moo, Shu Hua and Wei Leng.

after getting through the custom side, we were brought to Ah Soon Bak Kut Teh for breakfast. anyway, it's a treat from Audrey's mum.

and then, reached the jetty to take boat and cross over to the Kelong. we chose to sit in the open while the adult sat inside under shelter. we were so unlucky that in the middle of the boat journey, it rained all of a sudden. we were all wet, especially our pant.

well, the rain stopped just in time when we were about to reach. yay. time to fish loh!

and half way through, we were brought over to the shore at the opposite side of the kelong, to visit the house of Audrey's relatives. we wandered around the places as well. it's just like a small island though. but this kind of life, i don't think i can ever survive living in just a day. i'm a CITY PERSON! i prefer big city! haha

and yay, finally it's time for lunch. we took the boat back to the jetty area for lunch. the lunch was provided by one of Audrey's uncle i think.

lunch was done, back to kelong and contiuue our fishing game. i think fishing was quite a cruel hobby. those fishes were so poor thing, they got hooked, some even pierce through the eyes :( i cannot get myself to unhook it from the fish mouth. most of the time i asked Audrey to help me. haha

and yes, Ginnette caught one catfish, but the whole process of how Audrey dealt with it was so cruel. i cannot bring myself to see how the catfish died. Audrey was such a brave girl, she did it all by herself. but the fish..... so poor thing :(

well, i see Audrey's mum bought quite a few fishes back, i also followed. i bought one i-don't-know-what-fish and some prawns back to Singapore too. and it was so cheap SGD$10 for both. and the fish was super huge!!! i had a hard time carrying it back, it was so heavy!

June Babies Bday

woohoo!! a day to swim, to have steamboat and to celebrate the June babies birthday. Joshua volunteered to borrow out his house for us to held all activities there. yeah, we got to swim at his condo's swimming pool, got to have steamboat at his house too.

but yeah, of course we have to buy those ingredients and prepare for steamboat for tonight's dinner. shopping for whatever ingredients, foods, drinks, meats that we needed at the supermarket.

and it felt as if we were typical aunties looking the price tags, comparing for the cheapest prices. and we really bought hell lots of foods for tonight :D

and yea, after that Joshua led the way and brought us to his house which was somewhere at Bukit Panjang. it's so far inside, such a long walk from Bukit Panjang Plaza. imagine all of us were carrying bags and bags of items.

anyway, his house was big. that should be the second time i went to his house. we placed those items accordingly. some inside fridge, some remain outside. and since we still have lots of time, we decided to play a few rounds of Saboteur first before proceeding down to the swimming pool

and whee!!! after that at around 3pm plus, time to proceed down to the pool for a short swim. in fact, was to play with water. we planned for a swimming days together, but in the end only 5 people jumped down to the pool, the rest back out with all sort of nonsense reason! hahaha.

anyway, the 5 of us just went ahead to swim. and we had quite a hard time taking picture as the security kept aiming at us. yah, we know we shouldn't take photo at the swimming pool. but then we still managed to do it sneakily, heh!

the part where we were at was pretty deep. it's around 1.8m deep. oh my god, so freaking deep. at least 30cm above my head when i stand on the ground.

and with our wet and water dripping body, we went back up to Joshua house for shower. there's only 2 toilets and so the 5 of us have to take turn and bathe. haha the most kiasu me went to chop one toilet first.

while the rest outside started preparing for the foods. Edmund will be in-charge with all the frying stuffs, Audrey and Shu Hua to settle the washing and marinating parts and Xue Ni to cut those foods and placed them inside bowl or plate. the rest of us remained as flower pot. our job is DO NOTHING!

finally, we were all done with the preparation part. time to clean up the mess in the kitchen and have a good steamboat dinner together. and wow, the pot at Joshua house was seriously S.M.A.L.L!!!!

in order to let everyone has something to eat after the foods were cooked, we have to dump the foods up to the brim every each round. and once the foods were cooked, everyone started fighting for those foods, like some kids sia. it was so fun together.

for the first time, we eat steamboat until so clean. no leftover foods remained inside the pot and let it cooked until it turned like some soggy foods because the pot is always cleared empty after every each round.

after dinner, we helped to clear everything. keep the leftover foods, wash he bowls, clean the stove, wipe the table, mop the floor, etc. whatever we messed up one, we cleaned it back. and it's as good as before!

and up next, a surprise celebration for the June babies birthday. we presented out the cakes which we bought earlier on at dessert cup. yeah, a strawberry one for Shun An, a chocolate one for Shu Hua and a coffee one for Joshua.

and and and, we went back to play Saboteur after that, so addicted in playing until we have no choice but to stop playing at 11pm plus because we have to rush our last bus or last train home. and the most fun part was, combined from what we played this afternoon, we played a total of 8 rounds. and i am the ultimate SABOTEUR for 8 consecutive rounds. i don't know why, it's me, myself who choose the role card. and i keep on drawing the Saboteur card for 8 rounds!!! don't even have a chance to be a miner at all!

everyone has been targeting me as the Saboteur. Edmund straight away blocked me at the very start of the game, whether he know i am the saboteur anot, he just blocked it. LOL!~ it was indeed, a very fun game. being made the Saboteur throughout every single rounds, being attacked by the rest.... hahah, SO FUN yo!

too bad good things will come to an end. we left at around 11pm plus to chiong for last bus. i took 963 home together with Edmund, Ginnette, Shun An and Shu Hua. while the rest either take cab or train.

meeting time again. with Edmund, Ginnette, Misrah, Sally and Yvonne, the last time together was at USS and poof, here we are having a random gatherings after work.

and yea, we decided to start off with Vivo City as it was near to majority of us. hah, too bad to Yvonne who is the only one who lived the furthest. the rest of us just lived nearby :)

after dinner, we went over to the bookshop to walk around, and we actually ended up spamming photos over there. luckily there's no people chasing us out. we kind of making too much noise though!

Steamboat @ Le Le Pot

yeah, my second time having steamboat at Le Le Pot. this time round with my HSS girls after work, time to have a wonderful steamboat dinner with them after a long day at work.

Audrey made a reservation at 7pm, just in time for us to make it down to Tiong Bahru after work.

2 pots were given to us with 4 soup base for us to choose. we chose Chicken Soup, Herbal Chicken Soup, Tom Yum Soup and Laksa Soup. best soup still the Laksa one, very Singaporean style! hahaha.

and while waiting for our ordered foods to arrive, we ordered some finger foods like fries, fried chicken wings and mantou (bun). love those mantou to bits! it's so nice.

after eating, we walked to Tiong Bahru Plaza to meet Pei Ying for a short meet up. we were supposed to have steamboat together with her, but she's pretty short in cash so didn't join us. and so, we made an effort to meet her after steamboat, at least it's somewhere near her house. so even a short 1 hour meet up, is better than nothing :)

and and and, it was really so coincidence to bump into the rest of the guys over at McDonald's. and they happened to sit at the long table next to ours. haha, pretty surprised and happy to see them still hanging out together as a group.

it's like a surprise mini class gathering for all of us, it brought back the 5N1 feels :) so happy to see you guys again! meet out soon yea!~

Kite Flying

yeah yet another very last minute plan out. it was actually suggested by Daphne last night, at the very last minute, right after our Sundown Marathon, close to midnight while we were waiting for MRT from Tanah Merah Station back home.

laughs, we were so enthu about this kite flying outing, like wow, after our 10km run, and we still have the strength to plan some activities for the next day. and what best was, all of us were okay with it :)

and so, here we are, meeting first before taking bus towards Marina Barrage for our kite flying activities. it would also be a picnic for all of us, each of us just bring one item will do!

woooshhh! we reached finally. found a pretty good spot to lay the mattress on the grass, and time for picnic. displaying all foods and drinks out. and seriously, all my friends love green tea alot. you see, 3 bottles of green tea vs 1 peach tea + 2 lemon green tea (half green tea, still), + 1 pokka lemon tea. unfair wor!~

well, at least they bought pokka lemon tea for me YAY!~ and comes along the-so-many-different-brands-potato chips, cookies, cakes and sushi too, wow!!

whee!~ time to let the kite fly in the sky. initially, we only have 1 kite to play with, but then later on Audrey and Klevin went to buy 2 more kites to play. a spongebob one and a goldfish one. haha.

ohh well, all 3 kites managed to fly up high high. so fun, and we let the kite fly on its own, of course the string still attached with us, and then all of us gathered back to the mat to eat. we even spammed polaroid photos too!

Sundown Marathon 2011

yeah, finally after like 6 months of waiting, my first marathon for the year 2011, Sundown Marathon! yes, my last run was during last year November, and after that i've got no more run anymore, until this May!

waited for so long, and to be honest, this was my second time running 10km. the first 10km was Nike Run last year, then followed by Yellow Ribbon and Run for Hope which was like 6km and 4km respectively. yup, i was pretty excited for my second 10km run, of course hoping to break my last 10km record :D

and Sundown was actually an evening run, so we need not wake up extremely early in the morning and rushed our way to Expo. yup, and i have Saturday duty that morning, and then after work i accompanied my parent to Novena Square to settle their travel package things, and then rushed train over to Expo to meet the rest of my friends.

The Changi Exhibition Centre was located so far inside, and the place was pretty ulu. while on the bus, the running route can be clearly seen, it's a one whole stretch of straight road, with no beautiful scenery, no building, nothing but trees, trees and more trees.. ah ya, maybe can see the planes take off and touch down! haha.

immediately after we alighted from the bus, we started putting up our race bib, took some pictures together before depositing our bags to the baggage area.

yay, towards the starting point :)

and poof, off to run our 10km. the run was really.... nothing but one straight road. maybe it's like 3.5km straight road, 1.5km turned left... then reached the mid 5km, we U-turn back to the same road again.

Daphne said she really saw plane taking off, haha. i think i'm too engrossed in running that i don't even know what's happening around me. i recall when running that last 1km back to the finishing point, there's this malay guy who suddenly challenge me to run.

not wanting to get look down by a guy, he overtook me, and so i speed up and compete with him. yup, by the time we were already both running in full speed. imagine how shagged are we when we have already ran for 9km. and now we were both speeding for like close 200m. anyway, he gave up and stopped. boooo!!! i can hear his friends behind all laughing at him LOL!~

well, i stopped too after i know i'm far from him. shats, the speeding has eaten up my energy to finish my last lap. i walked for awhile before i started running again, die-die crossed the finishing line before i completely stopped.

after running, i went to look for Moo and Shawn, and waited for the rest to come back. the place was so ulu until the network there was horrible. i cannot reached any of my friends by phone. we were sitting there for close 30 minutes and couldn't find any of them. sms an call all couldn't get through.

we even have to walk around and locate for network and once we found it, we cannot even move a single bit. quickly made a phone call to the rest, telling them where to meet.

finally, after waiting and finding for close to an hour, we at last found everyone. and Audrey looked so dead, she feeling very bad, threw up and even ended up visiting the medic.

Daphne have to accompany her all the way, while the rest of us have no choice but to leave first because there's a last train to catch. we have been staying there for quite sometimes already. we ran back at around 7.30pm, but only left the place at 10pm. woahh

i completed my 10km, and ALL THE BEST to Orville for his upcoming 42.195km run at 10.30pm next :)

well, Dickson, Ginnette, Moo and me left first to catch the last train. we took the shuttle bus back which was caught up in a jam, but still, we managed to catch the train back to Tiong Bahru. Audrey and Daphne who were lucky enough too, they managed to catch the next shuttle bus, and meet up with us at the Expo Station.

and lastly, Dickson, Ginnette and me decided to walk to Henderson Market to eat the 24hours Yong Tau Foo which Dickson recommended. but who knows, we got conned by him :( that stall closed down already loh. that was how his conman nickname came about :)

ended up eating Wan Ton Noodle, and walked home from Henderson. it took me like 30 minutes to walk in the middle of the night, at around 1am plus. so brave of me, isn't it?!!! hahaha

Dim Sum day!

a meeting out day, on a weekday, a public holiday, solely for dim sum breakfast at Tiong Bahru Market. yeah, Edmund was the one who suggested to have dim sum day since it's a public holidaay.

well, the turn up rate wasn't that bad. at least there's six of us, wearing our own shirt, too bad Joshua did not wear it as he himself was blur enough. he said that his mum wore his shirt. haha.

and ya, the dim sum day turned out to be eating other random foods instead. in the end, we had fried carrot cake, chee cheong fun, chee kueh, etc. as for the dim sum part, i think there's like only siew mai?! hahaha.

and after that, we decided to go to Iluma to play arcade. Edmund had something else to attend to, so he left early. and shortly after, Audrey and Xue Ni came to join us for arcade xD

after spending almost the whole afternoon inside playing, we went out to just buy KOI for dinner, thinking that all of us would be heading home for dinner at around 8pm plus. but like who knows, we were all saying after taking some photos, we will leave. and the photo-taking ended up prolonging the time to like 9-10pm. hahaha.

and i'm seriously one walking hazard for the day. those who stand near me will either got slapped, got kicked, got stepped or got whacked by me. the most serious victim would be Xue Ni. we were actually deciding what pose or what photos to take.

i suddenly got so excited that i swing my hands up, without realising that Xue Ni was beside me drinking her KOI. and my hands just swing and flung her KOI to the floor, causing the plastic cup to split open immediately, splashing the milk tea out and also those pearls were like little canon balls scattered everywhere, some were even found inside our bags. and what's more, the straw actually cut her upper lip causing some bleeding as well. oops, so sorry!

yo! was invited to attend Guang Hao's 23rd Birthday celebration at Sentosa Costal Sands Chalet. anyway he planned it on a weekday, Audrey, Daphne and me have to rush over after work.

i got delayed after night court, thanks to that XXX. so frustrated! chiong down to Vivo and meet the rest, and Guang Hao came to pick us up.

it's barbeque time. didn't have a proper lunch this afternoon. and now i want to have a big big feast of bbq foods! and the people who do the barbeque-ing is always Audrey or Zhang Hao. the rest of us only wait to eat! haha..

The Originals IP Race 2011

an amazing race organised by HIP. with a group of 5 and we can form a team, and as usual the more outgoing person, Audery, Ginnette, Joshua, Moo and me took up the challenge.

we were supposed to meet 8.30am at Scape, but then i overslept and woke up at 8.20am. like total madness, blame myself for sleeping at 2am last night. i rushed myself and fly cab down to cab, wasted my $5 plus. hmpf!~ i hate to waste money on cab :(

and with those lots of introduction and so on, everyone started to gather outside, getting ready to set off once the organiser give the green light. well, for us.... our first station would be at Golden Village Grand. haha. how wonderful, to have a good kick start at my ex-working place :) GV GRAND ROCKS!

yar!~ everyone started flying and disappeared off from the starting point, chionging off to their respective first station. there's a few team who has the same first station as us. it's like, they are heading towards the same direction as us, waiting at the same bus stop, taking the same bus, running towards the same direction.

when we reached GV Grand, there's already a few teams ahead of us already. some team has even completed their quest when we were just climbing the escalator up to the place. lol. so fast sia, did they take cab, hmmm....

we started off with Twister game. the game master will name us some food and we have to guess correctly which country were those food origin from.

like huh?! some chimilogy one how? luckily we were allowed to use our phone and go online check. and those country name were pasted on the Twister map, we have to use our feet or hand to tap on those correct answer. such a tough job, obviously is meant for people with long hands and long legs. Audrey, no doubt, it's YOU! hahaha.

the second challenge for the game was much more challenging, with jumble words and we have to guess the correct name, some we didn't even see before. but with the power of Internet, we overcame it. PASSED!~

and up next, our second station would be at Golden Village VivoCity. lol. teleporting from one GV to another GV is it?! haha

we took a bus there, and once we alighted at the Vivo bus stop. we ran all the way there taking all the shortcut and cut our way through to the cinema. for a moment, i ran until i felt like puking. feeling so horrible.

this time round, we were given certain timing to see a movie poster. our task was to memorise everything we seen on the movie poster, every single tiny little details like the wording, the colour, etc.

once the time was up, we were given 5 questions and we have to base on our memory to answer those question. well, we have 5 brains, so it worked out pretty fast.

as for the Challenge 2, we were some clue to a particular movies, and we have to write down any one of the actors acting in it, the movie title or the song title. and well, with the help of powerful Internet. we completed the quest in no time :)

heading over to our third station, Playnation at Prinsep. the journey was pretty accessible for us, taking MRT from HarbourFront to Dhoby Ghaut! haha. finally a time to rest our tired legs from all those running.

and then after alighted, run our way to the Playnation @ Prinsep, which i have no idea where? i just followed Audrey and ran together with her.

-Sports Pit Stop-

the challenge here was to battle with the IP Pirate in a game of virtual boxing. it's so horribly tiring to keep moving your hand to move the controller... non-stop some more. and one KO was already so hard to score. imagine there's like 3 - 5 rounds just to get one KO.

at the end of the game, we got like four KO, which was like.... alot of time was wasted there, playing the same game over and over again. SO TIRED!!!

and up now, our fourth station... Singapore Art Museum @ 8Q. it was somewhere nearby, so we walked/ran over there. and as usual, there's 2 challenges in this stage.

-Work Pit Stop-

well, we were given 15 minutes to come up with a creative work entitled "Reflections of the Originals IP Race". we were given a piece of paper, a box of colour pencil, markers, pen, pencils, etc. like wow, here comes to our Art & Craft time. haha.

let's all bring out creativity-ness. drawing and colouring time!!! well, to express our best station, we only thought of the time playing WII, like just 20 minutes ago. lol.

and as for the challenge 2, we were only given 15 minutes to walk around the museum to complete the crossword puzzle. we were walking up and down, in and out of the exhibits marked on the layout map, looking for answers. but we were unable to complete everything in 15 minutes.

yea, have no choice have to submit whatever we have completed. it's better than to exceed the 15 minutes time given as we will not be awarded with any point once the time was up =/

go go, going to our fifth station, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Campus 1. a station to play with toy?! haha. it was a figurine that required team work to build it up using the shortest time. we plucked out those bit and pieces of the body parts, and started fixing them together.

and so. our sixth and final pit stop.. back to *SCAPE! chiong bus down and ran all the way back to the starting point. anyway, alot of teams were already back, but it's okay. we were not the last anyway :)

not a bad experience, running around Singapore. the good thing was, the pit stops were all located very near to each other. travel to so many places in 4 hours.

anyway, back to *SCAPE, there's lunch buffet provided for us. we were so hungry after all the running. and there's some performances before they started announcing the winner for this amazing race.

after the event ended, we walked around *SCAPE, and decided to take neoprints together. it has been ages since we last took neoprints. maybe the last time was during secondary school. haha.
