i spent the whole afternoon in East Coast Park. not cycling, not roller blading, but teaching Xue Ni how to ride bicycle! this was a last minute learning for her to be prepared for our Pulau Ubin trip at the end of the month.
yes, there will be alot of cycling in Ubin!~
so all of us, except for Shun An, meet at Tiong Bahru Plaza. they had lunch at Long John Silver, and then we took bus 16 to East Coast Park. Shun An hopped up our bus at Katong area. the weather wasn't that good. it's been drizzling since morning!!
reached ECP and we immediately rented a bicycle for Xue Ni to learn from scratch. we were determined to help Xue Ni get her cycling licence despite the bad weather!
4 trainers and 1 student. go go go!~
Edmund and Shun An being the first pair of trainer!~
while Edmund and Shun An were teaching her. Ginnette and me looked like some 花瓶 sitting down and do nothing.
Xue Ni took quite a long time to get the hang of it! her whole body like could not coordinate properly. lol. when she can pedal, she cannot balance. when she focused on balancing, her legs will tangled together! lol.
Edmund and Shun An suddenly wanted to roller blade. and soooo, Edmund ended up teaching him how to roller blade. Ginnette and me took over the the job!
but seriously roller blading is much more easier to learn than cycling! Shun An managed to stand up straight, move forward his in-line skate. it's just that he was moving very slow. well, beginner is always like that =).
and it's no good to have 2 beginners learning together. because what if suddenly Xue Ni lost her balance and charged towards Shun An, he can't dodged in time at all!! haha. if only that really happens =p LOL
anyway, back to the cycling part. i remembered i shouted damn loud when Xue Ni managed to cycle a much more longer distance.
and slowly, she managed to cycle. BUT she cannot cycle straight, because she will automatically turned to her right. and then she will be cycling round and round! lol

well. this was also our second plan of the day. a surprise birthday celebration for Xue Ni!!! this was the reason why we deliberately chose this date out to teach her how to cycle xD. we planned properly already. Edmund and Shun An will pretend to go toilet, but instead they went out to hunt for a slice of cake.
while Ginnette and me will be holding her back at McDonald's.
10 to 15 minutes later, both of them suddenly came in from the back door holding a cake with one candle light up. and coming up would be the Happy Birthday song!!
Make wish, blow candle, give prezzies, wear necklace, take pictures!!!
