Happy 21st Birthday to Liting...
i was invited to her 21st birthday party @ Hotel Re. i met up with Linnet and Ram at Outram MRT station, and we waited for Qi Xian to drive us all the way to the hotel. we totally have no tiny bits of idea how to get there, although it was just somewhere nearby.
and well, reached there finally. pretty quiet because it was located quite inside. anyway, the main highlight was... the decoration looked more like an engagement party than a birthday party, lol. the gown Liting wore was wearing was very elegant.. (looked like she's really ready to be married off) hahaha.

well, after watching the video made by Hui Long (liting's brother), Hayati, Orville, Ram and Sangeetha all one by one left for other matters or other events, leaving Linnet and me behind like some lost kids. imagine the whole table of 10, with only the 2 of us sitting down there?! i felt pretty awkward =S
we sat down there rotting, waiting for Liting to cut her cake. the most interesting part was when it's time for her individual batch of friends to take pictures together with her, her poly side of friends only left the pathetic 2 of us. so Linnet and me represents the class of 3F04 to take a photo for her polytechnic side..

whee!~ after that, Linnet and mee left for home. we made our way to the main road because the place was located really very inside, unless there's people call for cab, if not there will not be any cab driver driving it's way up for nothing lol.
thanks Linnet for walking down with me to somewhere with more people before taking a cab home. if not, i would be walking alone on that ulu path =X
anyway, when Linnet took cab home, i walked to the bus stop myself. pretty familiar with the place, because my workplace was just nearby. no one would be more familiar than me hahaha

WE RUN SINGAPORE!!!
whee! the run i have been awaiting for is finally here. the start area and race village opens at 5.30am, and since there were 2 flag-off time (7.15am and 7.35am), there's no need to reach exactly at 5.30am. we can always catch the 2nd flag-off time, no rush xD

i left house at 6.15am, meet Ginnette at Harbourfront and we took train there. transferred from NE line to Circle line and alighted at Promenade Station. we have no idea how to get to the Marina Bay Floating Platform, so we just joined where the large crowd of luminous lime green shirt runners were going. and yes, indeed, we reached eventually xD

yeahh, we managed to find Audrey and Daphne in the crowd of greens!!! and i think lady luck was also suppporting the Nike Run, because the PSI level was pretty bad for the past few days, but today's PSI was less than 40. at least the air was much better, and it was not hazy at all. i don't have to suffer from breathing in too much bad air later on xD
after that, we quickly made our way out to the start point holding area and get ready for the 2nd flag-off time. so excited, and at the same time nervous. furthermore, it's my first 10km afterall!!

the 4 of us were actually running together, ran till our first kilometre. Audrey and Daphne slowed down, and poof... we lost them in the crowd of greens. so Ginnette and me continued the run ourselves, keeping at each other's pace. we continued until 3km, and i lost Ginnette in the crowd too =S
so i have no choice, but to complete the rest of the 7km alone.
and here's the route we ran past:

5.2km: Sims Way before Geylang Road
7.4km: Republic Avenue underneath Nicoll Highway Flyover

the last 1km felt like hell.
i kept seeing the sign from 1km > 750m > 500m > 250m, but every 250 metres felt like so super long. but the feeling was shiok when you see the distance is getting nearer and nearer.... until you see the ending point.. i swore I CHIONG FOR THE LAST 250 metres till i crossed the ending line.

wow, i felt soooo tired after the run. my legs like going break any moment, it felt so jelly, quickly went to collect my Finisher Item. as i do not carry my handphone with me while running, i can only contact the rest after i retrieved my bag.
so immediately, i went to collect my bag at the baggage area. i called Daphne and Audrey, and they still have their last 1km to go, and Ginnette was still uncontactable because she didn't carry her handphone either.
so i carried my bag, stayed at one corner and waited for them under the super hot sun. shortly after, Ginnette contacted me and both of us waited for Audrey and Daphne under shelter. we changed our shoes away to the comfortable slipper xD hahaha

and not forgetting, our favourite jumping shots. with all our legs like jelly, we still go ahead with the jumping shots. lol. like so desperate to jump =X anyway, it was pretty funny when Daphne, Ginnette and my shirt kept flying up when we jumped, because our shirts were too big for us.

well, didn't even realised it was 9am plus when we were back from running. like still so early. we made our way to McDonald's for breakfast. so hungry!! i want my decent breakfast xD. but all the McDonald's was like packed with all the runners. we walked from Esplanade to Raffles Place and finally we decided to go Funan Mac instead =/

overall, i had a great run this morning. just that my body is aching entirely, and i think i'm one tone darker after 1 hour plus of running under the hot sun. and i enjoyed running on the road, so many nice scenery to see while running xD haha. and i put in alot of effort to run this time round as compared to the previous Yellow Ribbon Run. haha.
oh ya.. and the result for the SG vs KL challenge was out on the 31st October. The Lion City claims victory. Singapore beats Kuala Lumpur and be the official winner for this event, and has won the city a USD30,000 donation from Nike, and the donation will be given to the Singapore Children's Society.. CONGRATS SG!!
and lastly.... my chip timing for the run..

it has been long since we last had an outing at the Sentosa. actually wanted to have it as a mini class gathering, but looked like all the guys were not able to make it on that day. all either have to go for training, or some were deployed for saturday duties. and so it's left with all-girls-outing again.
we set to meet at 10am at Vivo City to do some last minute shopping at Giant, but i was late even though i lived the nearest to Vivo =X by the time i reached, they have already done finished their shopping =/

after like 20 minutes or so, they were back finally! what took them so long? i thought they dropped into the toiletbowl or what xP. we waited almost dry up already lol.
so once they were back, we started playing Uno Card to kill time. we even played back our Silent Uno which we invented 4 months ago in Tioman! but then, it was such a nice and big beach area, of course it will be best if we could scream out loud. so in the end, we ended up playing the usual noisy Uno passing game instead.

well, supposingly Audrey and Daphne have to leave early at around 2pm plus. Audrey has class at 3pm while Daphne has to meet her friend for her second event for the day. However, Daphne's second event was cancelled, and so she could stay with us till late evening.
and now it's only left with Audrey who has to leave early. but it was such a spoiler to leave such a happy event for some school matters =S and so we were trying to psyco her to pon class =X once in awhile should be okay.. i did that alot of times during my Poly days =X

and finally, Audrey gave up and stayed behind with us till late xD hahaha. the power of PSYCO!! we ruled.. lol. we continued our Uno Heart Attack game until the sun slowly coming towards our direction, and was down there burning my back. HOT LIKE MAD! i forbid myself to turn any darker =S so i exchanged places with Daphne because she wanted some sun-tanning.
tired of playing, and so we went out to the beach for some refreshing moment. too bad i couldn't hide from the sun this time round lol.

we made our way back to the tram station, and hop up one tram that brought us back to the Beach Station, and from there we started grabbing all sorts of Sentosa Attractions maps and decide on our next destination. we totally have no idea where to go next?!

and lastly, we decided to go Sentosa CineBlast to decide on what package to take. there's still alot of time to spend so we chose to go Imbiah Lookout by walking. heh, so while making our way there, we can sightseeing as well. one stone kill two birds xD

we came across The Merlion Shop, and went in for air-con break. Daphne ended up buying some stuffs inside to post to her overseas friends. i've never really take a good look on our own local souvenirs, because i only buy overseas souvenirs back to Singapore for my friends. so this is really a good chance to see clearly how nice Singapore Souvenirs are xD
out and continued our way to the Sentosa CineBlast. there's 4 pakages to choose, i have no preferences so we let Audrey and Daphne do the deciding. Lisa, Shalee and me just stood infront of the ultra big fan to enjoy the cooling moment xD

yay, so after purchasing both tickets, we went to queue up for our first Pirates ride. after going in through the main door, we were stuck in a dark room, the waiting area, i supposed. it was filled with funny green lights, and there's a screen showing the Pirate explaining the Rules & Regulations.
alright, the ride was pretty fun. it's like a cinema inside, wearing their 4D glasses and looked at the movie screen and enjoyed the 4D motion-simulated ride. what fun was the entire row of seats can move, there's air blowing out behind our ears, there's funny plastic stick under your seat to slap your leg, and they sprinkle water out too. haha.

and right after the Pirates, we straight away went to queue for our second ride - Extreme Log Ride. the queue was much much more longer than the previous one.
well, this ride was another 4D motion-simulated ride, but i found this one more fun than Pirates. haha. there's like 9 cyclones inside the hall, maximum 6 person per cyclone, and we chose to sit right in the middle one. this ride really did let me feel like i'm experiencing a real-life thrusts and amazing motion ride. extreme ride xD

after finished our 2 fabulous rides, we made our way back to Resorts World Sentosa, and then all of a sudden after walking and jumping down the big steps, Audrey, Daphne and me decided to do jumping shots infront of Lakes of Dreams.
yeah, madly jumping again and again over there, with lots of people looking at us!! be it locals or foreigners, we do not care xD
off to Candylicious to buy candy. haha. it was indeed a candy paradise. so many so many candies sold there, even those that could not be found from outside supermart, like wow. obviously, those candies sold there weren't cheap. scam tourists money?! hahaha.

woah, we had a super hard time to take pictures with these m&m. people around just kept cutting our queue, like so irritating. we have to show some auntie spirit, be thick skin and act fast in order to not let others cut our queue anymore =/
after that, Daphne left early to meet her other friends. so the 4 of us were left loitering down there, down to the Casino to take a look, and then took RWS8 back to Vivo.
and coming up would be the second part of the event, in celebration of Ginnette and Shalee's 22nd Birthday. we combined the October babies birthday together xD
so Daphne left, and Ginnette joined us for dinner after her cosplay event in the day. we took bus from Vivo to Bugis to meet Ginnette, and after much consideration, we decided to have our dinner at MOF. ha!~

haha. my wonderful debts i owed Audrey rised to $74!!!! lol due to so many birthday presents money i owed her plus the $30 CineBlast ride this afternoon... i'm heavily in debts!!!!! i returned her $20 immediately, and so i only owed her $54 xD yea, i will clear my debts soon X)
well anyway, since it was still early, 10.30pm only. we decided to chill-out somewhere, and so we randomly walking over to Esplanade.

and yeahhhh, we're doing jump shot again!!! this time we decided to use timer to capture our jumping, but because we haven't figure out after the 10 flashes, when will the camera actually really took the final shot.
so we ended up having ALOT of failed shots lol.
but practice makes perfect, after multiple and multiple of jumping, we slowly managed to catch the final flash timing, and we succeeded in having ONE perfect shot at 11.31pm.

yay!~ after the success one shot, Audrey ran all the way to City Hall MRT to catch her last train, while the rest of us slowly walked to bus stop at City Hall for our last buses as well.
