Looking back at 2010..
Written at Friday, December 31, 2010 | back to top

2010 is coming to an end, and i shall post something different from the last 2 years. time to do some recalling for the past 365 days.

anyway, 2010 is one very eventful year. it was full of excitement and adventurous. this was also the year i went camping alot, the year i travelled the most. it was also my most hyper-active year as i joined from all sort of sport events, from cycling to walking to running and dancing. and we also held numerous gathering with all my friends.

for the adventurous part. we went to Pulau Ubin for camping, really doing it all by ourselves. rent bike, find spot, pitch tent, stargaze, sleep in the open! lol. and Astronomy event in Sisters' Island and Pulau Ubin again, and both event we were being invaded by ants!

besides camping, i really travelled alot in 2010. ever since March, we tend to go overseas every 2 months. be it a short trip or long trip, be it a shopping trip or holiday trip, be it with small group or big group. i enjoyed every single trips with them.

for the sporty and hyper-active part. yes, i'm like trying to stay healthy and indulge myself with various sports. we started with Night Cycling, Hip Hop dance and then Big Walk, and slowly followed by a few running marathon.

attended 3 night cycling with the Woodlands YEC group. we travelled from Woodlands to East Coast Park, solely by cycling. for all 3 times, we go via different routes, but will still reached East Coast Park eventually xD

participated in a few dance events as well, and 2 were actually under PAYM =) i never know i'm actually quite into hip hop dance, dancing can be so cool and fun. it helps to boost up one's confident too xD

PAYM SHINE! flashmob dance...

PAYM Chingay Hip Hop Contigent...

Zumbathon Dance Party @ Zirca...

and upcoming, there's various marathon that i participated.. and i don't know i actually like long distance running. what a waste!~ why didn't i like it during secondary school days?! i would have done better for my Cross Country. come to think of it, X-Country that 3.6km was actually peanut to me now =X hahaha

from a warming up session for all the run, we started with Big Walk first...

hahah. and i'm falling in love in collecting all the events tee shirt. lol. hopefully, i'm able to collect more in 2011 xD

went for 2 photoshoots as well. the overall experience turned out well xD one thing i do not like was wearing wig, it was very hot and my whole head itch like mad =S

still, i got my best bunch of secondary school friends. 10 years of friendship will never end, we school, studied, played, fooled around, mugged for 'N' and 'O' level together for 5 years, and we still keep in contact for the next 5 years without letting the friendship stopped. hopefully, the 10 years will continues to 20 years, 30 years, forever!

and also the Feriae clique with increasing members. this clique got bigger and bigger each time. it's a combination with Ginnette's Poly classmates and our GV friends, and in between there's actually HSS friends too, pretty complicated group of friends. although it was formed less than 2 years, but our bonding together was like more than that.

my wonderful bunch of Poly classmates whom we only spent a short 3 years in Ngee Ann together. NP life was also the times where i started to play truant, pon class, skip lesson, copy homework, sleep in class, msn during lesson, facebook during class, etc. it was such a happening 3 years.

but when it's time to study, we really put in 101% effort, it's true =D

and lastly, here comes my work friends whom i knew for 1 year plus. we went through thick and thin together. i don't regard them as my colleagues, all of them were my FRIENDS!!! be it friends from Family Courts, or Subordinate Courts, yet still one big family!

stressful work life, bossy boss, crazy and rude public that we have no choice, but to vent it through facebook, twitter and blog. haha.

it was such a happening 2010. this was just a short summarise for the whole entire 2010, i didn't know that i can travel so much in one year, i can join so many marathon in one year. haha. a pretty fruitful year i had.

anyway, going for 2011 countdown later at Marina Bay. and so...

good bye 2010 and let's welcome 2011

My 22nd Birthday @ Helix Bridge
Written at Monday, December 20, 2010 | back to top

19th December 2010 - Sunday

and so, right after i came back from Pulau Ubin, don't even have time to catch my long lost sleep, i have to prepare and leave the house at 2.30pm to meet the rest at City Hall MRT station.

i'm the first to reach, and waited 1 hour plus for Ginnette and Xue Ni. and the rest were actually meeting at Suntec. lol.

so after Ginnette and Xue Ni came, we made our way to Suntec to meet up with the rest of the Feriae members xD

me and Ginnette sitting at the staircase of City Hall station

we made our way to Suntec through City Link, and we came across the "wishing ball" booth which allowed us to write our New Year wishes, and all the balls will be scattered around Marina Bay. we were very lucky as it was their last few wishing balls left for the day.

grabbed the ball and 3 markers, we sat at one corner and started vandalising... i mean.. decorating the big big ball with all our wishes!

girls busy at writing wishes!

each of us took one third of the space to write our individual wish.
looks like the 3 of us were money-minded $_$

individually with the wishing ball =)

may all our wishes come true!~

oh well, writing and decorating of the ball took us quite some times, and we were running pretty late, quickly made our way to Suntec to meet the rest.

and majority has already reached down there. surprisingly, they were pretty early.. especially those typical latecomes like Edmund Tay xD. he was already there, like wow!~

found them hiding at one corner

we went merry-go-round Suntec deciding where to have our dinner at, looks like all the restaurants there doesn't really appeal to all of our appetite for that day. so we moved on to Raffles City and final decision, we decided to dine-in at Sho Teppan.

anyway, the dining concept was pretty unique and fun. we got to experience the waiters to do iron-plate cocking right infront of me, and served the food to me xD.

at the entrance!~

the boy who cooked for me =D

the total bill: $92.15

there's actually 4 sets which were given like 100% discount, so it's for free? not sure whether is it really for free, or the counter crew keyed wrongly. and we don't even bothered to ask, just take it that it's a special discount for us xD.

after eating, looks like everyone were totally mesmerised with the Gong Cha, and they actually went to queue for it. lol. they were so into the trend, lol. too bad i don't really know how to appreciate tea, red tea, black tea, milk tea, whatever! i only know lemon tea, green tea, chrysanthemun tea, passionfruit tea =X hahaha.

went for toilet break while the rest were Gong-Cha-ing.

the gang of Gong Cha...

after that, we made our way back to Marina.. and there was this pot of plant in the middle of the walkway that caught all our attention. we stopped down there to spam photos... and also to wait for Shun An to meet us.

so cute!~

presenting to you the CLB paper bag xD

Happy friends!!

candid shot.

finally Shun An came, and all of us made our way to The Helix Bridge. we walked from Marina to Flyer and then finally to our destination. Edmund and me acted real crazily throughout the journey there. we sang and danced and even shaked our butt while walking trying to irritate the people behind us. haha.

Youth Olympic Park
i'm a YOUTH!!

resting our tired legs

i ♥ Marina
the night scenery was the best

Helix Bridge
beautiful!!!

close-up shot xD

group photo @ Helix Bridge

and there's mirror on top, so all of us just look up & snap

and we found one empty spacious area on the Helix Bridge for us to relax and enjoy the wonderful beautiful scenery of Marina Bay. and they called for a celebration over there as well xD.

one slice of cake for my birthday
and it was my FAV MANGO CAKE =)

HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY TO MYSELF
=actual birthday: 8th December=
omg, i'm 22 already. this is demoralising T_T!~

surrounded with friends xD

my bunch of wonderful friends xD

say cheese...

and then, it's the "present giving ceremony". lol. so funny, when they gave me that long rectangular present, forced me to open up on the spot, and it's actually some random woonden plank with 4 hooks to hang things. lol.

anyway, that wasn't the main actual present. the actual one was actually the Callate La Boca (CLB) tee shirt. it was so cute xD

my present xD

the cute CLB paper bag

the picture with increasing friends..
look from the 1st picture to the 6th picture. from 2 people to 8 people. lol

and lastly.. the whole entire group

lol. after the present, they presented to me the 武林秘籍 - 易筋经 to practice on my martial art. lol.. actually no lah, it was just a cover. inside was actually blank pages, but they used that book to paste photos and write messges for me. how creative isn't it? and i heard it was actually Audrey's idea. haha.

易筋经

reading it out loud to all of them
i'm like having an oral exam =/

friends surrounding to see those messages lol.

really thanks alot to all of them, especially to make an effort to write those messages in chinese, just because to stick to the theme. i knew there's a few whose chinese is totally private limited, but they still managed to come up with funnt cheesy message. lol. hard on you guys xD

and it was really one of my happiest birthday celebration so far. i truly did enjoy myself the whole night with you guys. cheers!~

thanks everyone who make themselves free for tonight and stay until 11pm plus, and then all of us were rushing for last bus, last train home. and especially to Ginnette, Moo and Joshua. yes, we were all very very tired and lack of sleep due to the Ubin trip the night before, and yet they still make themselves available.

i had a wonderful times today
