went for a last minute supper yesterday, with Linnet, Liting plus her brother, and Orville.

i did not went dinner with them. firstly, i was with my parent having dinner outside, and secondly, they were having frog leg porridge for dinner. =S OMG!! I HATE THAT.. it looked so ewww to me.

anyway, i joined them at Plaza Singapura after having my dinner. i still took my own sweet time, took train back home from Raffles Place. put down my heavy bag, then left house again. i reached there around 10pm plus. all the shops were already closed.

i went to look for them at arcade. well, their favourite place and they love to play the toy catching game. they played from arcade and down to basement 2. finally they caught a Mickey that Linnet had been eyeing for long =D. and they spent a bomb on that.

grabbed their car and off they drove to the famous Beancurb stall at Rochor Road for our supper. Linnet and Liting had been driving the place round and round. they had a hard time finding the place.


but we finally found the place, it was near 12am plus. i ordered a bowl of cold beancurb and bought home 2 packets of it. hahaha.


and lastly, Linnet drove me home. xD

we were quite early, only her relatives were there preparing the BBQ stuffs and the buffet catering person was there setting up.

and next, we decided to play a 'game' with Audrey. the game was last minute designed by Daphne and Lisa. yes, just one day before her celebration. lol

so after that, we startd on the BBQ foods and buffet foods. i especially love the chees sausage and the cheese tofu, but the tofu kinda tasta like cheese fishcake instead.

after quite some times, some of the guys need to leave early as they are booking in early the next day. SADDD!! it's a sunday the next day, and they need to book in. why like that?

so had a group picture taken before we bid goodbye to them

and so, we continued partying even though it's drizzling!~ Fiona was down there with her Polaroid Camera taking picture like mad. she has a box of expired cartridge, that explained the poor coloured of the photos.. so not to waste it. we just use it for the sake of taking!~ xD

what a busy saturday.

i was invited to Sally's 21st Birthday celebration (actual birthday: 10th November) at Raffles Town Club. i meet up with Ginnette and Sally first, because i have no idea how to go there, so we need Sally to bring us there.

we took bus 153 and reached there quite late. haha. sounds so funny. the birthday girl was late herself. hoho.

the place so grand.. and we had our wonderful Lunch Buffet.

we thought that we'll be the latest, but only 2 of Sally's friends were there early. the rest was LATE!

finally, after waiting for quite some time, her friends arrived one after one, and then lastly, her family members. haha.

okay, i have no idea what to write already, so photos spamming ahead..

finally i have the time to blog my 2D1N Batam trip with my girls xD. i know it was a super late post now, but you know, i have to take so much time receiving, selecting, editing, and lastly posting them out. =D so we shall start with...

Day 1 - 31st October 2009, Saturday

let me do the introducing.
Audrey, Daphne, Ginnette, Lisa, Shalee and her mum, and me! Shalee treated her mother to go together as well, since it's to celebrate her 21st birthday.

we meet 7.30am at HarbourFront McDonald's for breakfast. i had Big Breakfast, it've been so long since i last ate that.

after that, at around 8.30am, we walked up to level 3 to collect our Boarding Pass and also to pay the Sea Port Tax. so expensive!~ and i am so unlucky to be down with stupid horrible flu! must be the rain last night! and Audrey was down with sore throat. we're both 'sicko'. half way through the trip, her voice changed until SEXY MAN VOICE. hahah

next, we rushed to squeezed with those people to have our passport stamped. so crowded!!

we stopped here for toilet break before we went up to the ferry.

after that, we walked quickly to our ferry as it was free seating. i do not want to separate sitting with my friends xD

our ferry, Asean Raider 1, that will bring us to Batam =D

the ferry set off at around 9.30am. we took pictures, read magazine, listened mp3 and chit-chat. i somehow enjoyed the ferry going up and down. but Ginnette couldn't take it and went to sleep.

and finally, we reached Batam at around 10.40am (9.40am Batam Time).

(p/s: to avoid confusion, all the time that i wrote will be in Batam Time)

we went through all the checkpoint, and when we came out, there's a man holding a paper with "LIAN YUN LING" written on it. haha. it is Audrey's full name!

his name is called Rocky and he was there to fetch us. he brought us to the van that was waiting outside and then it drove us to Formosa Hotel.

anyway, the checked in time was at 2pm. and the receptionist only managed to give us one room first, which was Audrey, Daphne and Lisa's room. the other 2 rooms weren't ready yet. so all of us went up to the room first and dumped our bags there.

their room only have one queen size bed. so they have to add in another mattress to fit 3 people inside. =D

hahaha. rest for awhile before going out to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall to shop. it was pretty near to our hotel. just 2 road away only.

but i'm kinda irritated by the driver there. those driver will never let you cross the road. if you really wanted to cross, you will have to cross with a whole bunch of people. and while you're crossing, the car will horn and horn non-stop.

what the!~

and of course, one of the main purpose to Batam was to eat A&W for sure!~ i had been yearning for it for so long, ever since the branch in Bukit Merah closed down more than 10 years ago T_T. since then, i have never tasted the curly fries and root beer from A&W!!!!

and now, FINALLY!!! hahaha. think for super long and i've finally decided to eat their 2 piece chicken meal XD.

after lunch, we went shopping xD. we shop from one shop to another. most of us were looking for formal clothes there, but in the end couldn't find one. one of the most stupid reason was because, we kept saying, "i think we go Bugis Street buy also cheaper =D"

anyway, not everything there was cheap. the price was more or less the same as Singapore.

Lisa and Ginnette went for manicure. and the rest went to one department store to buy things back for their family. i randomly choose 2 tee shirts for my 2 brothers, and i only spent like Rp75,800 (S$12). after hour or so, we finally meet back Ginnette and Lisa, showing us their pretty nails. haha.

while waiting for Lisa and Shalee to bargain with the salesperson. we took this picture with the mirror image of a purfume.

anyway, we really had a hard time today. the money in Indonesia was seriously so hard to count. the amount was too huge. we have to carry our handphone wherever we go. whatever we wanted to buy, we have to use our handphone's calculator to divide by 6780 to see whether it's worth the buy. if the price is the same as Singapore, there's no point buying!

continued to shop for a while and then we went back to our hotel at around 3pm.

finally, we got the key to Ginnette and my room. and it was so much bigger. with one queen size bed and one single bed. and the best thing was we have the connected door to Shalee and her mum's room!

we just left the 2 connected door opened so we can walked in and out to each other's room.

spent some time having photos craze. what do you expect? girls love taking pictures xD. and we meet again at around 4pm. booked 2 cabs to drive us to Batam City Square to continue our shopping spree.

Ginnette had this super unlucky hands. whatever she touched, it will dropped on the floor. the first time she hold up a clips with hat design, she dropped it on the ground and broke it into 2 pieces. she was like OH SHIT, but managed to fix it and quickly place it back. and then we ran awwy from that shop =X

and then, she hold a clothes, it dropped. she touched something (forgotten what it is), the whole container of it fell. tsk. so unlucky.

anyway, we had our dinner at Breeks. i ordered Baked Seafood Pasta at Rp35,000, it's around S$5 plus. so cheap eh.

after dinner, we continued walking around. suddenly i spotted a bag. was thinking of getting it for my brother. so i went up to ask for the price. the salesgirl told me Rp125,000. i was like wow, and i walked away. she quickly shouted, "can be negotiated!! i gave you Rp85,000". i told her i consider first =). and finally, she shouted Rp70,000.

i called back home to ask whether my second brother wanted anot. you know, later i buy one only, the other brother jealous!~ and i talked to them for like 8 minutes or so. oh my god, auto-roaming leh!!!! my M1 bill!~

and yeah, i bought 2 bags for my brothers at Rp140,000 (S$21). and then, i spotted another handbag. thinking of buying it for my mother. but i'm not sure whether she wanted anot. and you know, later i buy back, and when she doesn't like it, i will get another nagging from her!! haha.

so called back home again.. another 6 minutes of talking. ohmygod to my M1 bill again!~

the bag was the most expensive gift. i bought it at Rp200,000 (S$30). i managed to bargain from Rp290,000 to Rp200,000. hahaha. so proud of myself XD.

next, almost forgotten. our main purpose was to celebrate Shalee's 21st Birthday. Audrey and me went to look for cake and we randomly buy one slice of cake at Rp10,000. after that, we went to do some shopping at the supermart. we bought cup noodle back for supper as well.

and i almost spent finish all my money =D i'm so broke now!!

so we took cab back to our hotel. and without Shalee knowing, Audrey, Daphne and Lisa after lighting the candle, they sneaked into my room and went through the connected door, we surprised Shalee with the birthday cake!!!

after the celebration, we settled down and seriously doing the counting of money. to settle the cab money, dinner money, etc.

after paying all my debts which was only the dinner money at Breeks. i'm officially bankrupt. i don't even have enough money to pay Audrey =D. and my friends were so nice, each of them donated some coins to me!! added up i've got a few hundreds. but in actual fact, it was JUST A FEW CENTS ONLY T_T.

we realised the time there past very slow. when we looked at our watch, it was 11pm plus, but in Batam, it was only 10 plus. it looked like we have an extra hour to spend. lol

after Audrey, Daphne and Lisa went back to their room, we have our late supper of cup noodle at 12am.

and of course, we continued our photos spamming session. this was what Audrey, Daphne and Lisa did in their room..

we even made use of the bath tub.

we were using self-timer at first. then suddenly Shalee's mum came in and said she wanted to be inside the toilet as well. she said it's quite scary to sleep alone in the room when the 3 of us were inside the toilet leaving her out alone.

and so, she became our photographer =)

and then, after chatting for hour plus. and my horrible flu was giving me headache. we went to sleep at around 2am. i slept on the single bed and Ginnette had the big one =D i covered myself with blanket from head to toe with tissue paper stuffed inside my nose. luckily i did not suffocate myself =D

Day 2 - 1st Novmber 2009, Sunday

i was woken up by Audrey's call early in the morning at 7.45am. ohhh, it was actually 8.45am Singapore time, no wonder they were so bright awake. lol. ya, Audrey called the wrong number, she wanted to call Shalee, but ended up dialing my room number. how blur!

but in the end, Shalee and her mum woke up as well because the ringing was so loud. only Ginnette was still sound asleep xD. and she claimed herself to be a "light sleeper". what crap!~

after everyone freshened themselves up, we went down to have our breakfast buffet at 8.30am. the food wasn't that bad, just that most of us still prefer the breakfast buffet at Hotel Puri (Malacca).

we went back to our room to rest and do some packing, so that it will be easier for us to check out later. meet again at 9.30am and made our way back to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. we went back to buy the things we regretted not buying last night =D

Audrey and me went to the money changer to change $20. i'm penniless, you know. and now i had Rp135,000 to spend le ^^V

everyone started buying some souvenirs back for their friends. they bought keychains and had their friend's name written on it. i did not buy any, i'm kinda broke so friends, you all should understand me ah! lol. and it took quite some time for the guy to get all the name written on it. so we only managed to get back to our hotel at 12pm. quickly finished our packing of bags and checked out.

Rocky came to fetch us and in the same van, we were drove back to the ferry terminal. we crossed the bridge that was linked to Batam Centre and continued our last day of shopping there. we kept our bags at the bag counter there and only carried important stuffs with us.

wandered around while Shalee and her mum went to have lunch. i started to feel hungry and went to KFC to buy something light to eat. and the service there was terribly slow. even the manager was doing things s l o w l y ! ~ practically taking their own sweet time .

finally got my Chick'n Fillet and Fish Fillet after queueing for half an hour. but the price was cheap. Rp25,000 for both. so worth it!!

meet back the rest of the people again. and the spending of money continues. Lisa and Ginnette bought a handphone pouch. after going around so many shops, they manage to find the cheapest one.

i bought a wallet for my father and a cosmetic pouch for my mother at Rp75,000. initially, it was Rp85,000. but i managed to bargain and had a Rp10,000 discount because that was all i had. and yea, now my wallet only left Rp600. i'm the poorest of all.

and then, one by one, everyone only left with a few thousands. that's like a few sing dollars left only. we combined whatever we left and went to Supermart to buy Keropok =D.

next, we collected our bags and proceeded to the terminal waiting area at 4.15pm. we thought our ferry was at 4.30pm and then Audrey told us that our ferry was actually at 5.30pm. Ahhhhh!~ have to sit down there and wait for an hour plus more.

finally, we waited until 5.30pm and when we made our way to our ferry, we saw beautiful sunset.

went back home and distributed my gifts. 1 wallet and 1 tee shirt for my father, 1 handbag and 1 cosmetic pouch for my mother and 1 bag and 1 tee shirt to my brother each. i spent all my money on them and did not get anything for myself. haha. i changed $100, and spent $78 buying gifts for them. i realised i'm so generous to my family and super stingy to myself. hahaha.

i truly enjoyed my 2 days 1 night trip with my friends even when i'm down with horrible flu. haha. we laughed, played, talked and not forgetting SPENDING MONEY LIKE WE ARE SOME MILLIONAIRE together. we emptied our "hundred-thousandaire" wallet with Audrey being the top spender.

she spent $300 over for the 2 days. while the rest of us only spent like $100 - $150 plus!!!

AND..... we have decided on our next trip. We will be going to Tioman Island @ Malaysia to play sea sports XD. let's see when? hmm~

and then, after chatting for hour plus. and my horrible flu was giving me headache. we went to sleep at around 2am. i slept on the single bed and Ginnette had the big one =D i covered myself with blanket from head to toe with tissue paper stuffed inside my nose. luckily i did not suffocate myself =D

Day 2 - 1st Novmber 2009, Sunday

i was woken up by Audrey's call early in the morning at 7.45am. ohhh, it was actually 8.45am Singapore time, no wonder they were so bright awake. lol. ya, Audrey called the wrong number, she wanted to call Shalee, but ended up dialing my room number. how blur!

but in the end, Shalee and her mum woke up as well because the ringing was so loud. only Ginnette was still sound asleep xD. and she claimed herself to be a "light sleeper". what crap!~

after everyone freshened themselves up, we went down to have our breakfast buffet at 8.30am. the food wasn't that bad, just that most of us still prefer the breakfast buffet at Hotel Puri (Malacca).

we went back to our room to rest and do some packing, so that it will be easier for us to check out later. meet again at 9.30am and made our way back to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. we went back to buy the things we regretted not buying last night =D

Audrey and me went to the money changer to change $20. i'm penniless, you know. and now i had Rp135,000 to spend le ^^V

everyone started buying some souvenirs back for their friends. they bought keychains and had their friend's name written on it. i did not buy any, i'm kinda broke so friends, you all should understand me ah! lol. and it took quite some time for the guy to get all the name written on it. so we only managed to get back to our hotel at 12pm. quickly finished our packing of bags and checked out.

Rocky came to fetch us and in the same van, we were drove back to the ferry terminal. we crossed the bridge that was linked to Batam Centre and continued our last day of shopping there. we kept our bags at the bag counter there and only carried important stuffs with us.

wandered around while Shalee and her mum went to have lunch. i started to feel hungry and went to KFC to buy something light to eat. and the service there was terribly slow. even the manager was doing things s l o w l y ! ~ practically taking their own sweet time .

finally got my Chick'n Fillet and Fish Fillet after queueing for half an hour. but the price was cheap. Rp25,000 for both. so worth it!!

meet back the rest of the people again. and the spending of money continues. Lisa and Ginnette bought a handphone pouch. after going around so many shops, they manage to find the cheapest one.

i bought a wallet for my father and a cosmetic pouch for my mother at Rp75,000. initially, it was Rp85,000. but i managed to bargain and had a Rp10,000 discount because that was all i had. and yea, now my wallet only left Rp600. i'm the poorest of all.

and then, one by one, everyone only left with a few thousands. that's like a few sing dollars left only. we combined whatever we left and went to Supermart to buy Keropok =D.

next, we collected our bags and proceeded to the terminal waiting area at 4.15pm. we thought our ferry was at 4.30pm and then Audrey told us that our ferry was actually at 5.30pm. Ahhhhh!~ have to sit down there and wait for an hour plus more.

finally, we waited until 5.30pm and when we made our way to our ferry, we saw beautiful sunset.

was so tired and all of us slept throughout. finally, we reached back to Harbourfront at 8pm (Singapore Time). and we are so relieved that we don't get to see so many extra zero in Singapore price, we don't need a calculator, we don't have to keep on dividing the price by 6780 anymore. NO MORE ALL THESE!

went back home and distributed my gifts. 1 wallet and 1 tee shirt for my father, 1 handbag and 1 cosmetic pouch for my mother and 1 bag and 1 tee shirt to my brother each. i spent all my money on them and did not get anything for myself. haha. i changed $100, and spent $78 buying gifts for them. i realised i'm so generous to my family and super stingy to myself. hahaha.

i truly enjoyed my 2 days 1 night trip with my friends even when i'm down with horrible flu. haha. we laughed, played, talked and not forgetting SPENDING MONEY LIKE WE ARE SOME MILLIONAIRE together. we emptied our "hundred-thousandaire" wallet with Audrey being the top spender.

she spent $300 over for the 2 days. while the rest of us only spent like $100 - $150 plus!!!

AND..... we have decided on our next trip. We will be going to Tioman Island @ Malaysia to play sea sports XD. let's see when? hmm~
