Taiwan Trip Day 4
::Taichung - Sun Moon Lake - Nantou - Changhua::
overslept on our 4th day. we woke up at 7.30am and chiong like mad, no time to come back up to our room to pick up our luggage, so we decided to pack up and bring everything down to together with us to have our breakfast.
back to buffet breakfast again. huge varieties to choose from, but no much time to eat. just random take some favourite food will do.

makan time!
haha. after breakfast, time to move on to our first station for the day. a long 2 hours bus ride to Shueishe Pier, and then another 10 minutes boat ride to Syuenguang Harbour, to visit the Sun Moon Lake. seriously, there's really alot of people today.
the Start of Day 4

2 hours bus ride
we reached Shueishe Pier at 10.30am finally, after sleeping inside the bus for 2 hours. so what if we lacked of sleep last night, we can always recovered our sleep during the day in the bus, especially for those long long bus journey.
anyway, reached there finally and our tour guide brought us to take a boat over to Syuenguang Harbour.

reached Syuenguang Harbour at 11am. our tour guide so nice, he bought 2 tea eggs each for everyone of us. imagine there's 11 of us, and he has to buy 22 tea eggs, like wow! haha.
Sun Moon Lake is one of the tourist attraction in Taiwan, located Nantou of Taiwan. the east side of the lake resembles a sun, while the west side of the lake resembles a moon, that's how the name of Sun Moon Lake came about.

back on boat..

and and... back to the pier!
haha. finally back and it's time to do some little shopping. just now we were not given any time to shop at their products shop due to time constrain and also to rush for the boat.
but now we were back, while waiting for the rest of the people, we walked around the shop, but nothing really caught our eyes. all looked rather expensive and kind if useless to us.
but we spotted this very unique mushroom ice-cream. like so cool!~ never really tried this kind of weird flavour ice-cream, so we bought one to share. haha. well, actually depends on individual. i found the taste weird weird one =S don't really like! wek!~

back to the bus, and we were drove to Ching Sheng Hotel for our lunch. just for lunch only, that hotel is not our hotel for today by the way.
and there's wireless found in the hotel. haha. busy to go online until don't really want to eat the lunch. just got a few bites only. quite a spread of foods for lunch, but didn't really eat much though.

our lunch..
after lunch, we went over to Syuenguang Wenwu Temple which was just opposite the restaurant we had our lunch at. it is a very well-known temple at Sun Moon Lake, it was said that the central door of the temple is always open because the temple is on the bank of Sun Moon Lake and has many tourists, so they keep the door open for the convenience of the visitors.
well, nothing much to do at the temple besides offering joss stick and made some donations. we were also taught on how to divine by drawing lots in the temple, Taiwanese way is so different from Singaporean. In singapore, people will shake and shake the holder until the lots dropped out. but in Taiwan, they taught us to hold all the lots high up and drop it down back to the holder, the highest lots which bounced up will be our lots.

in early days, these steps were called the "stairways to heaven".

and next, a less than 5 minutes bus ride to the nearby Peacock Farm. there's like so many peacock over there, and my first time seeing while peacock too. that was like so rare! hah!~
and in total, there was like 7 peacocks opened their feather on that day. well, they looked so proud haha. the most nicest one is of course, the white peacock. so pure and it looked kind of elegant! haha.

last places before we were sent back to hotel, we were brought to this 毛王爷之家 to visit. those people staying there were from the
Thao Tribe, and it's another money scamming places, introducing their products, and so on.
starting they introduced their ancestors, and then followed by the pictures on the wall with collapsed building or what and so on. i don't know for what purpose. it's okay, i'm not interested. and then after that, they started to ask us to buy this buy that. ahhh the 4 of us were targeted again. we just insisted we are just students, no money to buy. lol

finally, it's time to go back to hotel. today's schedule was pretty short. it was only 4pm and we were heading back to our hotel. heard that it was some kind of very countryside hotel, which means there's no shop or mall nearby.
too bad, we were told late, so we were not prepared at all. if we knew it earlier, we would have bought alot tidbits and so on and go back to hotel and party. well, too bad.
anyway, the hotel was one of the creepiest hotel we stayed so far. haha. our room window's outside is some kind of trees and bushes, and once night falls, the windows became 2 big mirror. what the hell, quickly draw the curtain to cover it up. lol.
leaving Nantou Country
our hotel - Hsiao Yueh Resort Hotel
Ginnette and my room
before leaving
on the lift, off to have our dinner

our dinner served!
haha. and it was until the day 4 of our trips that we got to know our team members better. yesh, we finally got to know Samson and Vivian on the day 4. besides those aunties and uncles, these 2 were the only youngsters together with us 4 in the group.
and yes, started getting our phone out, hunt for wi-fi and added one another in facebook! hah, new friends made during the trips. how wonderful!!!
outside the hotel

and yeahh, together with Samson and Vivian!!!
after dinner, we decided to explore this place as we really have nothing else to do here. this place does gave me the feeling of some abandoned mansion in some horror show. so creepy especially when we went up every level looking for their activities room.
we saw from the sign that there's ktv, play room, pool room, etc. but we went up and there's like nothing to be found. some room were empty, and looked very creepy. the 4 of us walked around from room to room, walking in one line. brave one would have to stand infront and timid one will be hiding behind lol.
you know, scary but fun and hilarious at the same time!

exploring of the hotel
and back to our room next. since we have nothing to do, i brought my laptop over to Lisa and Shalee's room to join them partying. the wireless over there was damn weak and low. the only place to get the wi-fi is on top of the tv. so it was a funny scene to see Ginnette, Shalee and me sat on the table, and putting the laptop, handphone or iphone in the tv just to get connected!
but the connection was still very slow, so we gave up and decided to put the mask which we bought last night at Feng Jia Night Market. yes, we were supposed to put it last night! however, we were tooooo tired to do so. so ya, today we shall do it.
masking time!
30 minutes of mask, felt so good after that. anyway, after the mask, we were seriously very tired. no energy to play anymore. and so, Ginnette and me went back to our room to rest
