Taiwan trip Day 5
::Changhua - Chiayi - Alishan - Tainan::
as i said last night that we have to set off like an hour earlier than before, we were forced to wake up at 5.45am to prepare and get ready by 7am to have our breakfast.
seriously, this was one of the worse hotel breakfast we had so far. the horrible china-style breakfast crowded with so-many-kiasu-china-people. the portion of foods they took was way enough to feed one whole table of people.
the china-style breakfast crowded with the china people
in the end, this was what i took
group photo with pathetic breakfast

start of Day 5
yay! cannot wait to leave this place
after breakfast, immediately we went outside to board our bus which was about to set off at 7.45am. it was a long 3 hours bus ride from our hotel straight to Alishan. the journey uphill is far more worse than going Genting one. the turning round and round the narrow pathway up the mountain, it's so bumpy and dangerous. and we have to endure it for almost 3 hours. hoseh ah!!!
anyway, we reached around 11.30am, and proceeded to Songge Restaurant for our lunch. it was another round of so-so meal, so china-ish style again. oh my god! i just spammed myself with the noodle only.
after lunch, we board a mini bus with just a short 5 minutes ride over to the forest trail walk of Alishan. the temperature there was seriously COLD! it's practically freezing down there =S

reached at Songge Restaurant

railway track!
and next up was the forest-bashing, trekking, or whatever you called it. it's a long walk into the forest. it's cold. it's deep into the woods. and it's over-crowding with china people. ahhhhh!!!
we even saw people went there for wedding photoshoot. so romantic, so pretty, so nice.... soooo cold too. isn't it a torture to the bride who wore so little in such freezing conditions? hahaha they happy can!

and after 45 minutes of forest walking, we reached to the temple in Alishan which was mainly well- known as the temple which attracts moths to visit them during certain period.
it was during certain time, when one of the deity's birthday or what. 7 moths will one by one flew all the way to the temple and landed at the temple for a few days.

and next, we started moving out and walked quite a distance to somewhere o board our mini van. it was a long walk, turned left, turned right, uphill and down slope.

back on the mini bus out..
yes, finally we were back to the main Bus parking area. we waited 10 minutes for our bus to pick us up. and next, it was another 2 hours bus journey to our next location. anyway, down the way of the twist and turn path of Alishan. turn and turn our way down.

DOWN WE GO!
construction by the cliff
omg, so scary!

take a look at the route!
and well, we reached the Cow Farm after travelling for 2 hours 15 minutes. we were actually there to see cow, those kind of cow with black spot one. but however, we were late and the train was about to leave soon.
so we have to rush like mad to buy what we see from the shops over there, and we totally have no time to see cows at all. i was told that tonight our hotel will be up in the hill again, no shops nearby. therefore, i quickly randomly picked up whatever i saw from the shop, buy and stock up for tonight's party!

reaching soon
alighted and reached at the other side of the train station
after the 30 minutes ride in the so-called "toy train", we reached to the other side of the train station, boarded back our bus and this time round, the driver drove us to a 7-eleven to stock up our foods as our hotel area would be the same as last night. it will be held up at the mountain with no shops, nothing nearby!
after which would be another 1 hour bus ride to where we will be staying at.

time to stock up!
we grabbed whatever we think we will need it tonight, especially cup noodles. haha. we love having cup noodle as supper. left the place back to our bus and an hour bus ride to our hotel resort at 仙湖休闲山庄.
as the hotel we will be staying is quite high up, the bus can only stay below at the packing lot, while we have to walk a short distance up. our tour guide advised us to only bring a few pieces of clothes up and leave our luggage's and barang barang inside the bus.
reached finally!
our little hut
our room
a small bag to bring our clothes up and the foods we bought at the 7-eleven earlier on.
off to the restaurant for dinner
welcome!!
hahaha our tour guide
dinner time

the driver and tour guide have their own table of foods xD
haha. after dinner, we proceeded to the outside field area, and there's a table of all the equipment and ingredients to the making of Ang Ku Kueh. so interesting!
Shalee was chosen to start trying out to mix flour with water to make dough. haha, very stressful i know because everyone is looking at her. lol

the shape of Ang Ku Kueh came from here

while waiting for the Ang Ku Kueh, we proceeded to the making of coffee part. we were taught on how to grind the coffee beans to coffee powder. its so fun to turn and turn the grinder, waiting for the beans to become powder.

woohoo, we made it ^^

took a picture of our teacher for the day
forced him to twist his finger like us Y^^Y
and what's more interesting, there's also karaoke service there for us to sing out heart out. haha. we randomly picked a few Chinese song, and together with Samson, the 5 of us sang together. our tour guide also got high and sang a few songs too
our tour guide, the driver and Samson's father being hooked to karaoke
Samson taking video of his father's singing
choosing songs
yay!
the 5 young singers of the night.
goods thing usually ends fast. we have to stop singing at around 10 plus as to not to disturb others sleeping. and so we went back to our room, packed our things, bring my laptop and all the foods over to Lisa's room and party over there.
Ginnette and me in FBT shorts.
we purposely pulled it up high, and it looked as if we were without our pant, lol
and as usual, we started opening up each of our chips and crackers that we bought earlier on, transferring pictures to one another and teh most important part, spamming of photos in the room!
PHOTO SPAMMED AHEAD!
we love taking random ridiculous pictures xD
and it's time to boil water and cook our cup noodle for supper. we are so going to miss the cup noodles in Taiwan. so fast, it's the end of Day 5 already.

our supper
and then Ginnette and me went back to our room at 2am, had a quick shower before heading to bed at 3am. Good Night, and that's the end of Day 5!
