It's the climb!!
yes, the usual 5 of us went out for outings again. this time round Ginnette organised to go hiking at MacRitchie Reservoir. our main purpose was to climb the HSBC Tree Top Walk, one of the suspension bridge in Singapore.
first of all, meet everyone (Edmund, Ginnette, Shun An and Xue Ni) at Bukit Merah interchange. we took bus 132 to MacRitchie Reservoir and played DS throughout the bus journey. no doubt, we played Mario Kart again. i chose the wrong character, and ended up being the 7th or last position. so frustrated, like in every single match, i'll be the one at the bottom!! lol.
finally, we reached the place. like so long since i last came here... in 2005, my last cross-country in Henderson!!
before we start....
toilet break, in case we need the toilet in the middle of the forest. lol

if i'm not wrong, we took the Route 3, 10.8 km.

time to start on our journey. we're pretty lost on where to start. so we recalled back our 2005 memories on how we walked to the starting point. but seems like we did not walk past any zic-zac way. hmm~
with Ginnette and Xue Ni being the lead leading us there.

okay, i have no idea we walked for how long and how far. i just know that we were super tired. saw this Terap Hut, so we quickly went in and take a short rest.
we continued our journey then. we were walking half way through, then all of a sudden, i saw Edmund jumped up and moved damn quickly to the front, Xue Ni stopped walking suddenly and shouted, "Snake, snake...!"
i'm scared of snake as well. lol. it was a really skinny kind of snake, doesn't appeared to be poisonous also. but the snake just kept staring and hissing at us.

the snake moved away into the bushes and we continued to walk. we were all very hot and tired. can't wait to quickly reached the place.
at this point, we saw the sign stated 0.6km more to the Tree Top. yes, we're getting nearer and nearer to our destination!! but we did not have anymore energy to walk, the more we walked, the more slope we see. it's so hard to walk uphill... especially when we were all running out of energy. you see, we have been walking for hours plus..
we saw the sign 0.1km to the Tree Top. was so damn happy. we increased our speed walking up, up and more uphill. walked for like very long, we were down there complaining. HOW COME 0.1KM SEEMS SO FAR AWAY!!! we looked as if we walked for another kilometre. goddamnit.
and then finally we saw the HSBC Tree Top walk sign. we thought it was just ahead, was so happy thinking our 0.1km was just right infront.
and then, we were all cheated. PHOTO OF DESPAIR below.

U-turn back and walked down the staircase. and YES, WE MANAGED TO REACH THE HSBC TREE TOP WALK.. so happy, target finally achieved!~
we purposely sit there just to wait for someone to walk past here, so we could approach them to help us take a photo. i know it sounds damn lame lah. lol
and then, HERE WE GO!~
the bridge was 250 metre long.
just right after we walked out, we saw this longggg staircase. we counted, but i can't remember how many flight of stairs we walked. i knew it's super long.we're physically and mentally tortured. lol. omg
quickly rest our tired legs after climbing up the long staircase!!!
i wondered will Sadako climbed up from this well?

we took a rest at the Ranger Station. and how nice of Xue Ni to make sandwiches for us. egg mayo sandwiches tasted so delicious. thank you~
and i's time to find our way out of the place. we decided to take a shorter route out to the main road. if we walked back to MacRitchie, i think when the sky turned dark, we are still inside. lol
so we walked out to the Venus Drive instead of MacRitchie. btw, not to mention, but i still have to say, we are sort of lost inside, couldn't find our way out. have to ask the people there to direct us out. haha
finally we're out of the place and took 166 to Bugis. quickly satisfied our craving for something cold and icy. went Ice Monster to have mango ice for myself.
and then we went to Sim Lim Square to look for CHEAPO HEADPHONE. we needed that for our cosplay prop as well. so don't need buy so expensive one. i'm going to cut it, anyway.
went Bugis Street walk walk first, and then Ginnette and Xue Ni had their dinner at Parco Bugis, was super tired. went home with Edmund and Shun An. Pity Edmund, still have to work later...

when i just came back from work, i saw my house in this crazy mess!! my mother dug all the rubbish out from the room loh. she shifted the cupboard, the shelf, the sewing machine, everything! exchange their place. nothing better to do!!! she said she couldn't tahan seeing that part of the room so damn messy. shats, dumped alot of my things as well!! ='(
super messy house, with dust flying around!!
was digging things that were hidden deep inside the room. i have no idea it was kept there for how long already!! i kept too many rubbish things in the past loh..

i have 2 of Engineering Mechanics book! lol. i remembered Haya dumped the book inside my bag right after the exam. just because EngMech was one of my favourite module doesn't mean you can just threw it inside my bag hoh!!!

and also my INCOMPLETED drawing!! awww, so sad~ i totally have no idea when i drew that. i think i just chucked it in one corner and forgotten all about it! lol. no wonder my house have so much rubbish, because i kept useless stuffs at home, and forgot it's existence until spring cleaning!!
the fate of these poor comics..... they were squeezed inside 2 big plastic bags, and my mother actually wanted to throw it away. my brother had no choice, but to donate it away to the Community Centre's Leisure Centre, a place for youngster to hang around. there's comic, PS, computer to play loh.

Natsu Masuri
before we went for the Natsu Masuri, we have the whole afternoon for ourselves, so we decided to cut our wig first. meet up with Edmund and Shun An, brought them up to Ginnette's house.
we managed to snap some photos while the lift is taking it's own sweet time up to the 23rd storey.
we played with Koko. everyone was so into Koko, pity those lovebirds. totally neglected!! and one thing, Koko loves Shun An's shoulder!!! haha. the bird gave him a sudden attack twice, all of a sudden, it just flew to his shoulder! lol
finally, Xue Ni arrived, our hairdresser was here!!!! she quickly put on the wig cap for me, which made me looked like some bandit.. or nun!! whatever it is.. then put on the wig.
and i looked like this after wearing it. fringe too long!!
the future hairdesser helping me on my wig. and after doing mine, there's quite some time left, so we decided to cut Ginnette and Shun An's wig as well.
he got super big, over-sized head. Ginnette and Xue Ni had a super hard time putting the wig caps on for him. it's like totally forced it in. lol.

had our lunch at McDonald's. and then at around 4, we took train to Simei and then transferred bus 5 to Changi Japanese Primary School.
played DS Mario Kart throughout the train journey...

finally, we reached the school. the queue was way too long. damn lah!! had super hard time queueing, under the SUPER HOT SUN somemore!!!! we queued for one hour just to buy the $2 ticket and enter in to the school.
we queued for like 45 minutes, then finally got this shelter above our head. bored already, challenged Mario Kart with Edmund and Shun An.
totally INTO the game!!!
i went inside driving already!!
fianlly got our tickets.. AFTER ONE HOUR!!
walked around looking around. our aim for today is to rent the yukata, but we were too late. ALL WERE RENTED OUT. sigh~
exchanged our tickets at the entrance for the uchiwa fans. and then we wandered around looking for interesting booth!! we queued up at the "Amy Restaurant" to buy FOODS!!
the foods that we bought from the "Amy Restaurant" booth. queued for like 1 hour!!
next, we went to queue at "Minasen" booth to buy the Panda-Yaki and Takoyaki. this queue took horribly long. we started queueing when the sky was bright then turned blue and finally the sky was completely dark and... WE WERE STILL QUEUEING!!!
when we were finaly done with the queueing, our legs already SPOLIT!!! quickly went to the back of the building and find a spot and sit...
after eating, we walked around seeing things. but was damn tired. saw this empty booth with CHAIRS!! flew all the way there to rest!!
Ginnette and Xue Ni continued walking around to see things. and Ginnette saw alot of her friends loh. i saw none!! sigh!!

took bus 5 back to Simei MRT station and we came across this $1.80 chicken rice stall. feeling a little hungry, we stopped by to try it. smell nice too. it was then hat Ginnette realised she had dropped her $10 in the bus. OMG lah!!
we find some place and eat the chicken rice. left the place at around 10.30pm++ back to Tiong Bahru Station. TIRED!!
Conclusion: IT'S ALL ABOUT QUEUEING TODAY!! lol
