Malaysia - Malacca Trip Day 2
my stupid alarm woke me up at 6.30am. went down for hotel buffet breakfast at 7am. we have to eat early as our meeting time was at 8.30am. the variety of food was considered not that bad for a small hotel.
and they served donut too xD
after breakfast, we went back to our room to rest and pack our stuffs and of course, for some toilet break =X. going to check out soon!! Ahhhhh, why couldn't i spend a little more time in the hotel!!! i checked in like around 9++ last night, and now going checked out at 8.30am. not in 12 hours loh!!!

our messy room!!

trying not to waste the time.
took some photo with my mama. she trying to act like some model xD

barang barang.
waiting at the lobby for the organiser to check out for us =X

Map of Melaka City

the nice tour guide and me ^.^Y

loading our bags into the bus.
and next, the bus took us to some sightseeing place in Malacca. finally i got to visit Malacca historical site. first place, the tour guide brought us to the Christ Church which was built in 1753. wow, over 200 years of history.

the Christ Church Melaka.

cannon!!!

signboard!
next, we walked up a very steep slope, up to the St. Paul's Hill. while walking up, we bypass a few other tourist attraction place.

walking up the slope!~

Muzium Pemerintahan Demokrasi
taken from the top view.
the view was beautiful!!
finally, we reached the top to St. Paul's Hill after climbing countless flight of stairs. it was built at 1571 by the Portuguese. the statue of him is actually without his right palm.

Statue of St. Francis Xavier.
behind of the statue was actually St. Paul's Church. but it was no longer in use. the church was formerly a chapel for the Portuguese and it was named as "Nosa Senhora" - Our Lady of the Hill. but after the Dutch colonised Melaka, the church was renamed to St. Paul's church.
anyway, the St. Paul's church turned into a burial ground and graveyard after the Christ Church was built.

the ruin of the St. Paul's Church.
and off we go downhill back to the ground floor. we saw Porta de Santiago which was also known as A' Famosa.

Ruins of Fort A' Famosa.
Porta de Santiago, or Gate of St. James, is solely remaining gateway into the fortress built by the Portuguese when they conquered Malacca in 1511. it was now erroneously called the A' Famosa.

Ancient train and aeroplane!
well, after all these sightseeing places and the blazing sun almost melted all of us. lol. finally, somewhere we were all looking forward to.... air-conditioned shopping mall xD. there was quite a number of shopping centre nearby.

Malaysia's First Eco-friendly mall..
still under construction!! hahaha.
Singapore also have Eco-friendly mall... at City Square Mall!! hahaha.. anyway, we were given 2 hours to shop there. there's so many shopping centre, we decided to choose Mahkota Parade because it looked the biggest to us. and i bet it must be real cooling inside xD
ahhhh.. WE NEED AIR CON!!!!~
we had a light breakfast at the McDonald's there. most of my father's friends went there for cold drinks. everyone was real thirsty after one whole morning under the sun.
most of the shop was not opened yet as it was still quite early. and i came across Bosco Wong signboard outside one spectacles shop. i think he's the spokesperson for that shop. xD

Bosco Wong.
i was walking randomly around when the "&" tee shirt attracted me xD. so after much consideration, i dragged my mama into the shop and i bought that tee shirt. anyway, 2 for RM50, so i bought 2. the white tee is for my brother =D
i bought 3 pairs of socks as well. 3 pairs for RM10 xD

2 t-shirt bought at Radioactive shop @ RM50.

3 pair of socks at Radioactive @ RM10.
and we spent the rest of the time inside Yee Hai CD/VCD/DVD shop. definitely not me who brought them here. my parent and all their friends totally into the shop. they bought alot alot of karaoke vcd back. yea, of course all their era type of songs lah. those oldies!~ hahaha
there will never be a day you see them listening to the modern pop star/singer songs! that day will never come hahaha. my mother was even complaining to me that nowadays songs are damn noisy!! lol. =/

the shop that we spent 1 hour at!!

massage chair!
and just right outside the shop, there's a few massage chair stationed outside. it's only RM1 for a 5 minutes massage! haha. so nice, there's massage chair provided inside a shopping centre. hahaha.
and after that, we went back to our bus and we're on our way to the Nyonya Makko restaurant for our lunch. it's just a 30 minutes bus ride to reach the place. the food there s0-s0 only, not really that delicious!!~

our Nyonya Lunch.
after lunch, we were brought to Yong Sheng Food Gift Shop. it's some kind of shop that sell alot kinds of biscuits. Malaysia got alot this kind of local biscuit shop, i realised all the Malaysia tour, they sure bring us there to boost their business. it's like one of their trend already =p
after that, it's another temple visiting. anyway, i went to this temple before on my previous Muar trip. haha. so not much pictures taken there.

YAY. Y^.^
had a quick tour at the temple and quickly went back to the bus. the weather was really terribly hot!!! next, we had a 1 hour 30 minutes ride to reach our next biscuit kind of shop again. lol. my mother and friends continued their karaoke in the bus.

Malacca Town!!
anyway, everyday i came this shop. it's a MUST for me to buy that Crispy Seaweed Cracker. it's a MUST BUY!!!! my favourite seaweed cracker and it can only be found in Malaysia!! T_T why Singapore don't have!!!!!
the moment i stepped into the shop, i quickly grabbed it and dumped inside my mother's basket!! haha. it's like RM14.25 for one packet. pretty expensive!
and finally, our last place in Malacca. dinner at Cathay Restaurant. and the food there was superb. i totally into the food world there, lol.
anyway, there's this food wrapped with bean curd skin. i have no idea what is wrapped inside, but the wrapping itself looked like a frog leg to me =S. i asked around what was inside, but no one answered me. ='( some say is chicken inside, some say it's only bean curd skin.
i totally have no idea.... so i choose NOT TO EAT IT!!! haha.
anyway, their best food was the mayonnaise sauce prawn + cracker and the fried ketchup fish!! hmmm yummy!~
and so, after eating, it's home sweet home. took an hour ride to reach the Malaysia Checkpoint. and we're so lucky that there's no jam at the custom!! haha. phew!~
