Chinese New Year Day 1
Written at Thursday, February 03, 2011 | back to top

i know i'm seriously 1 month slow.
but am still trying my best to catch up.
at least... i'm just 1 month away!!~

大年初一
::Sentosa & River Hongbao 2011::

every year is the same, there's no house visiting on day 1. so instead of rotting at home, we decided to go to Sentosa Flowers as my mother is a huge fans of flowers -.-'' haha.

and so, together with my eldest brother and my parent. off we go to Sentosa on our day 1 of Chinese New Year. as for my second brother, hah, he was busy working his ass off to earn that extra incentives.

Sentosa Flowers
today is the official opening for it xD

mama, papa and kor kor xD

happy family xD

USS globe.
i want go USS one day =)

anyway, we accessed our way to Sentosa through the Sentosa Boardwalk, and paid an entrance fee of $1. lol. hunting our way to the Sentosa Flowers, but we ended up going down to basement 1 to see how busy was the casino on CNY day 1.

we stood outside and was amazed by the horrible crowd. people, what a day to spend your money on day 1. lol.

as for us, we sat on a bench somewhere to rest, while i went to breadtalk to get some buns. and when i was back, my brother told me that mummy went to buy 4D. i was like, huh?! where the hell is there a Singapore Pools here?!

and then he pointed right infront of the super huge glass door...

what a big Singapore Pools.

and next, we continued our way to the Sentosa Flowers. pushing our through the horrible crowds xD

my brother bought this Iced Matcha Tea (green tea)

omg, it tasted so horrible. and they actually served the drink without ice. imagine it was already so horrible, and it was without ice somemore. oh well, i let my brother drank it all.

crowded Sentosa!!~

everything was made by flowers

Grass Jelly this time round.

FLOWERS!!~

anyway, my brother suddenly said he wanted to go Butterfly Park. and since the last time we all went together as a family was like 10 over years ago. we decided to all go for it! haha.

and they had super deal package to visit 4 attractions at $29.90 per person. we got to visit Butterfly Park + Insects Kingdom + Underwater World + Dolphin Lagoon. and since it was such a great deal, and my brother so longing to go Butterfly Park and my father loves to visit underwater world. we just go ahead with it. a total of $119.60, my brother and me paid $60 each, solely our treat xD i don't mind paying, as long as they are happy =D

lol, like so MAN!~

tickets purchased!

first stop of the day after walking through the whole Sentosa Flowers, we went to Butterfly Park first. anyway, i wasn't really a big fans of flying living things, i remembered i used to scream when a butterfly suddenly fly towards me in a park =S and my friend was telling me, it was just a butterfly! haha

but still, i don't like. so my parents and brother were busy touching and catching those butterflies, while me standing there, purely looking at them only. and most importantly, to siam away from them who is flying towards me =X

the 2nd largest butterfly
it was huge!!

second stop was to visit the Insect Kingdom. i don't really like the place, it was yet another insect kind of museum. to see all the different kinds of the butterflies, beetles specimens.

it looked kind of bored to me =X

third stop was the Underwater World. some place which i personally looking forward for. anyway, there's actually a short cut to get there, but i don't know how so in the end i brought them to walk the long cut. we walked from Imbiah Station all the way to Beach station, and i made them walked the whole entire Siloso Beach to reach our destination.

sorry, my bad. we walked for close to 45 minutes to get there =X

touchpool

my parents were overjoyed while trying to touch those stingray. lol. Underwater World really changed alot. the last time i came here, it doesn't looked like this at all. haha. anyway ya, cannot compare, it was 10 over years ago. haha

i especially love to see those jellyfish. omg, they looked so damn cute. haha

last stop of the day, Dolphin Lagoon. haha. this one i have never been here before. so this was actually my first time, to see sealion and dolphin perfomance.

it was still so crowded when we were leaving...

and next, Riverside Hongbao 2011 is a must-go during Chinese New Year. so we took RWS8 back to Vivo City, transferred bus 97 to Marina. had Popeyes chicken for our early dinner, my treat again xD.
