December babies calling for their 22nd birthday celebration xD. Lisa, Wai Keong and me decided to hold a bbq celebration for our birthday at Wai Keong's aunt condo, and we invited our long-time-no-see secondary school friends.
Lisa, Ginnette and me specially took leave on the day itself and volunteered ourselves to be in the "preparation + organising team". the 3 of us meet at City Hall MRT station and made our way to the Carrefour at Suntec City. we did our shopping down there, bought all those necessary items and foods and then out we go to meet Klevin, Lisa's boyfriend.
anyway, most of the major foods were prepared and provided by Klevin. he carried an aluminium tray full of foods, sauces, utensils, etc, and it weighed 30kg plus. damn heavy!! we proceeded outside Suntec, and Klevin went back inside to collect the birthday cake, while the 3 of us waited outside for him.

it's actually quite a busy day for Klevin because he just knocked off from work, then rushed to collect the cake, and then he still have to go Bedok to collect something else. and with so many things, it's impossible for us, 3 girls, get everything to the condo ourselves. we even have difficulty lifting that aluminium tray up, let alone carry it?!
so the initial plan was to follow Klevin to Bedok by cab, and then back to Tiong Bahru together. but we were damn unlucky to meet such horrible taxi-driver. when we boarded his cab, his first question was to ask what's inside the aluminium tray. we just told him its some raw meats , dah dah dah lah. and then Klevin put it nicely inside his car boot, and hop up the cab.
after he drove off, made one U-turn, and then all of a sudden, the driver felt so uneasy that he alighted the cab, and went to his car boot to check out our stuffs, he adjusted the tray this and that, and when he went back up to the driver's seat, he started complaining that it stinked!
he drove half way, then will keep on lifting up his hand to smell it, and complained to us it stinked. Klevin explained alot of times it's some herb spice sauce, and he still continued to complain, making so much noise inside the cab.
and the worse part was, he nagged non-stop and then he just took out the air-freshener and started spraying inside his car like mad. the 4 of just gave sarcastic actions and remarks by holding on to our noise, pretend to cough, complained that it's very hard to breathe, and lastly i said out loud that the car now smell like some toilet =P hahaha.
we got so fed up and pissed off that we told the driver that we do not want to go Bedok, we decided to go Tiong Bahru Plaza straight. we can't wait to get off his cab, i think we will die inside if we continue and go all the way to Bedok.
and he just dropped us off infront of a bus stop, and he said he will answer for it if he got a summon or what. so yaya, we slammed his car boot door, Klevin took a picture of his cab, while i took down his stupid car plate number: SHB9629E.
we put down everything at one corner, while Klevin decided to take train to Bedok himself. the rest of us waited for Wai Keong to fetch us to go over his aunt's condo. and he can only be able to meet us after his exam at 6pm. and so, we sat down there waited for him for an hour =/

finally, Wai Keong came to meet us, and we made him carry the 30kg aluminium tray all the way back to his aunt's condo. haha. he complained non-stop that Lisa scammed him to come all the way down to carry the super heavy 30kg tray xD
wheee!!!~ we made it to Wai Keong's aunt condominium at Twin Regency. panting and catching back our breath, especially Wai Keong after carrying something weighed 30kg, he's all in sweat!

first dish up, bbq sotong with teriyaki sauce. i have never tasted such nice and soft sotong before. he made it until it doesn't have the rubber kind of feeling that the sotong is very hard to chew.

and not forgetting the deadly-drooling-delicious-yummy ham. i was shocked to hear that this ultra big ham actually costed $120.00. like wow, so expensive!!!!~ how can we finished it?! and it's not easy to bbq it loh, so huge and we have to slowly turn it round and round xD

it was an ultra-awesome night for all of us. a birthday bbq actually turned out to be a mini class gathering. it was really one of the best day for the year 2010.
the guys were actually the one who is very hard to meet up. they were all either unable to book out, or have to be on duty. everything turned out to be so perfect, so wonderful, so coincidence for today.
we just randomly choose a date to organise a bbq, it was not even a weekend, not even a Friday where we can party till midnight not worrying that we have to go work the next day. it was in the middle of the weekday.. on a Thursday night, we have work on the day itself, and we even have work the next day. lol. but it was so so so wonderful that everyone were able to make it.
it was truly an awesome class gathering night. when was the last time we last had such big gathering? looking through my blog, it was in February 2010, 10 months back. hopefully for 2011, we will have it more frequent, than having it like only twice in a year. well, let's hope so xD
and lastly, a big THANK YOU to those who came to help, to eat, to drink, to cook, to play, to party, to enjoy, to reminisce and so on.
