26th February 2010 - Saturday
finally, the long awaited days which we have been anticipating for - NATAS Fair. you know, we were all very stressful to see our surrounding friends, one by one, all had already booked their flight tickets for their vacation holidays. while us, we planned this Taiwan trip since last December, up till now we still haven't booked any single things yet.
and so, we decided that no matter what, this upcoming Natas Fair, we die-die must booked our tickets xD. on the day itself, Ginnette, Lisa and me meet up to go to the Natas Fair at Singapore Expo. Shalee will joined us shortly right after her Saturday duty.
anyway, we paid a $4 entrance fee, and then starting hunting up and down, left and right for the best and cheapest bargain. we walked around collecting brochure, information, etc.
time past pretty fast, it was almost 2pm and we have yet to find any great offer. we decided to go Texas Chicken to have our lunch, and slowly browsed through all the papers that we got from inside. Shalee came shortly after too.
small lunch to share together,

time to crack our brain on which package to take
after lunch, we went back into the hall. we asked alot of booth for free & easy package, but looked like the offer they gave us for free & easy was far more expensive than on package tour. so not worth it at all.
anyway, Ginnette had to leave early to meet her friend at Science Centre. so it was only left with Lisa, Shalee and me to make the final decision. at last, we found one package tour which the itinerary was far more better than the previous one. and so, heck and just go for it.
package booked:
Package tour: $988
Airport Tax: $200
Travel insurance: $42
Total per person: $1,230

7 days Taiwan Explore under Super Travels

all free gifts from Taiwan embassy
and after that, i actually have to straight away travel down from Singapore Expo to Hougang to meet my other friends to attend Jason's 21st Birthday BBQ. however, due to my super heavy bags, with lots of free gifts inside. i have no choice but to go home first.
and now, the exploring of part of Singapore starts now. took train from Singapore Expo to City Hall, bus back home, then bus from home to Harbourfront, and lastly took train from Harbourfront to Hougang.
i knew i'm going to be super late when i reached Hougang. i'm meeting the rest 5.30pm at Hougang Mall, but 5pm i'm still at City Hall waiting for bus home. anyway, i managed to meet the rest at 6pm, late for 30 minutes =S
and from there, Rui Feng led the way and we walked like 100 millions kilometer to reach the exact location. his house is really pretty far from the MRT station sia.

whee! buffet =D

nice cake of the shape of key
Happy 21st Birthday, Ling Xiang
Ivan, Rui Feng, Seok Chin, birthday boy Ling Xiang, Royce, Kay Wah and me lol
Happy Birthday!!!
anyway, Danny and his girlfriend came late because they lost the way. lol. and we actually sent Rui Feng to fetch them which made them even more lost, because Rui Feng is blur too. haha
after the cake cutting, we were left on our own, find our own activities to do to kill time. like some homeless kids, we walked around the area from right to left and left to right twice, sat under the pavilion and talked nonsense, out to the children playground and rot there, sat under shelter and had some random talks.
we finally decided to leave the place at 11.45pm. Ivan took cab home, Rui Feng took direct bus from there, so it's only left with Kay Way, Royce, Sock and me. we took any bus which brought us back to Hougang Interchange, but still, we missed our last train. hoseh ah!!!! haha.
it's either cab home, or loiter around the place for one night. all of us chose to ton one night at Hougang. and so first, we head to the 24 hours NTUC there to get some mineral water. it's a super thirsty night. we walked aimlessly at Hougang and then someone suggest to go Punggol Park and ton there. so all ended up walking to Punggol Park lol.
cannot really remember what time we reached there, but it should be around 1am plus. we had some healthy walk in the middle of the night, and took a stroll one round of the park. it was a cold and windy night. shivering like mad.
we spent 4 hours plus at Punggol Park, waiting for daybreak. talking, playing, dozing off, making funny noise, entertaining one another. lol. and then suddenly turned violent with slice slice and scratch scratch. hahaha.
time past pretty slow, we left the place at around 4am plus, walked back to McDonald's at Hougang Mall for breakfast. and then slowly made our way back to the MRT station at around 5.30am, took the first train back to Dhoby Ghaut and transferred 124 back home.

finally, the making of Eisha's belated birthday present. i think our clique has this very good habit of besides buying a birthday present, we also must DIY something for each of the members =D
this time round, not all Feriae members were able to make it for the DIY process. and so only Audrey, Ginnette, Joshua, Moo, Xue Ni and me were managed to squeeze out that tiny little time after work to meet up at Funan IT Mall's KFC. we had our dinner at KFC and afterwhich, it was 'time for DIY' =D
we knew that Eisha love to sketch and draw. so this time round, we decided to everybody all draw something for her. each of us were given one plain card, and started scratching head to think of what to draw for her. haha.
i couldn't think of what to draw, so i just borrowed Xue Ni's cute little diary which has lots of cute picture inside. and i just anyhow choose a picture and draw it out =D

haha almost there. just have to fill up the empty space there

too lazy to write message. just a simple "happy birthday" will do xD
DONE!~ presenting to you my final product!!!!and not forgetting, the hardworks from the rest of my friends. looked like everyone can draw pretty well. haha. *applaud* and now, we just have to wait for the rest of the completed "picture card" drawn by the others who wasn't here today. combined everything together, and this would be our completed set of DIY sketch book for Eisha to continue sketching inside, because it's like a booklet, there's still alot of empty pages for her to draw whatever she likes :D

our hardworks and efforts!!
seriously, i love to draw xD

looked nice, eh! haha
anyway, Joshua and Xue Ni left early. so there's only left the 4 of us doing the finishing and clearing of the tables. it was in a complete mess, hah. and lastly, a group picture with our hardworks before we left the place.

group photo =D

this was indeed a very last minute decision to go for the Singapore Flyer. i was working half way, when i received an sms from Moo saying that he's got 5 free tickets to Singapore Flyer which was only valid for today.
i did not reply his sms until almost the end of the day, when i walked over to look for Ginnette, then i decided to go it. i did not go Singapore Flyer before and it's free so why not?
anyway it's a complimentary from his NS Singapore Police Coast Guard which entitled a 5 free entry. pretty wasted as only the 3 of us went for it, too last minute i guess. everyone wasn't free at all =/
so after work, Ginnette and me went to Marina to meet Moo, and ended up having our dinner at Mr.Curry before making our way to the Singapore Flyer.

Mr.Curry

posed with our foods xD

my order: Chicken Pan Nabe
this was my first time eating at Mr.Curry. curry mixed with bread was so nice, love the wedges but don't really like that pink sauce. i don't remember what sauce was that actually =/
thanks Moo for paying half price for us, and i couldn't finished my share at all. hahaha. too full =X after eating, we slowly made our way to the Singapore Flyer, at the same time, to digest our foods. lol.
i walked past this place everytime during my Chingay rehearsal, and this was actually my first time taking the ride, for free. so excited!~
we walked around the place fiest before Moo went to the ticketing booth to exchange for 3 complimentary tickets

Singapore Flyer

Welcome =D

our tickets

cheers with tickets xD

moving in...

picture time
we delibrately missed alot of cabin because we wanted the whole entire cabin to ourselves, but looked like it's kinda impossible because people behind kept coming. so in the end, we still have to board it together with other people lol

with the Flyer
and welcome aboard. lol. the Flyer was moving very slow, it took so long to reach the peak, haha. but the night scenery of Marina was indeed spectacular, so beautiful!!!!
there's no much thing to do during the entire ride, we can only view the night scenery and spam photos =D

Welcomeee!!~

picture time :D

half way up...

Singapore is beautiful =D

reaching back to land..
and at this point of time, my stomach hurt like mad. it's like my shit is at it's edge, at the checkpint, coming out any moment. i immediately ran out of the cabin and zoom to the toilet like mad. luckily it was almost reaching then my stomach gave problem, imagine i'm on the top and my stomach pain like mad =S

fyi, i had a wonderful flight =)

playing with reflection

so cute, 4 seasons in Singapore
anyway, thanks Moo for the free ticket. i enjoyed the whole entire ride xD it's 10pm plus already, time to go home!!!!!

anyway, this post is totally like a picture blog. nothing much to write, just more and more pictures. pictures did all the talking xD
