Malaysia, Punggai Trip Day 2
woke up at around 8am, washed up everything and prepared to go out for our breakfast. anyway, before we went for our breakfast, we walked around the place, and took photos of the surrounding. you see, we arrived at around 11.30pm last night, everything was dark to us, now is the time to snap every single things we see xD

after breakfast, it's totally free & easy for us till 1pm. the best thing was.... there's absolutly nothing here. no mall, no shopping, no restaurant, no nothing. and obviously there's no wi-fi here too haha. i'm going to be CUT AWAY from the online world for 3 days. lol we have to spend our one whole day here, totally testing our patience, away from the luxurious life we used to have, lol.
although there's nothing, there's still playground for us to play, there's still sea to enjoy the sea breeze, beautiful scenery for us to take picture with. i'm contented for once xD

time to move on to the beach area. there's this wild mushroom on the ground that caught almost everyone's attention. those with camera started to spam photos on it, as if it was some kind of mushroom-model!!! hahaha.

we even found a tree which the tree trunk grew diagonally up, and so we can climb up and sit on it. i don't know why i got phobia going up, maybe due to i'm not wearing any shoe but slipper plus my slipper has no friction. i'm afraid i might trip and fall and break my toe nail which was pretty long.
anyway, i managed to go up with the help of Ginnette and Joshua. hahaha.

enough of the beach area, time to move on. we were really walking aimlessly, we just walked wherever the road led us to. no fixed destination, just walked only.
and there's 2 cows by the roadside. lol. i wondered do they dashed out to the road? hahaha.. and we also spotted cow dung, such a big pile with funny green flies, yes, they were in green, bright green somemore. haha. never really wanted to post the photo out, it looked really disgusting haha.

we walked past this big piece of lalang field, and we suddenly wanted to stand behind those lalang grass to create the lalang feel. lol. and those grass is making me so itchy..

and after walking for how long, finally we came across one provision shop. yes, just pathetic ONE. immediately went in and grabbed ourselves a can of coke @ RM1.50. tasted soooo heavenly especially in this kind of super hot weather.

finally the walk came to an end, a dead end.

it's a dead end finally, we have no choice but to u-turn back to our chalet. thinking of going back for lunch, but lunch not ready yet, and since we totally have nothing to do, we went back to our room and sleep =X took a short nap, but we ended up sleeping for 1.5 hour.
woke up at 1.30pm, and out we go for lunch.

after lunch, we went back to our room, played Pictureka! again, listened music, stoned for awhile....... and power, we went back to sleep xDD hahaha.. this is practically the one and only one overseas trip that i spent most of my time sleeping. eat and sleep, eat and sleep. lol
and the next time when we woke up, it's 6pm plus already. time to go for dinner. see, i was right! it's all about eat & sleep!!!!! but before that, we saw those astronomy people already set up their camera, telescope all those. ready to catch the sunset, and prepare for stargazing later on.
and we also joined in, and waited for the sunset. and it was freaking cold with the wind kept blowing to our face. and unfortunately, we didn't really managed to see any awesome sunset due to the clouds that kept blocking the sun.

we saw swings again, this time round it was wooden plank one. it's more harder to swing than the normal one. gonna play like a kid again =D

Xue Ni spotted this tiny kitten at one corner, so cute. and she was like mesmerised by it. haha. and we also saw one dead kitten died inside a drain or what. the drain was without it's metal lid, and i guessed that kitten walked blindly and fell into the trap, probably unable to climb up and die of starvation. so poor thing.

while we were eating half way, it started to rain heavily. wow, i can see all of them started dashing out to the dark and save their camera and telescope. while Xue Ni went to save the kitten back to the under shelter. lol.
all were pretty disappointed that it rained at the wrong timing. hopefully it was just some passing-by rain, and the sky will be cleared soon!!
and thank god, it really was some passing-by rain. it stopped finally. and again, we saw people started to set up their camera again. hahaha. anyway, this Punggai trip finally had some value at night. the sky here was so awesome, when i looked up, i saw the sky full of stars!!!! really FULL OF STARS!!
but it's on and off due to those low clouds that kept moving. but nevertheless, i have never seen the sky full of stars before!!

anyway, it started to drizzle again. so we went back to our room, decided to set our alarm to 2am to continue to stargaze, but i seriously doubt any of us can wake up at 2am. hahaha.
so it's time to sleep. me back to my old style again, i don't want any stupid mosquito to attack me, so i'm like wrapped from head to toe. from jacket, to long pant, to sock. everywhere fully covered except my face.
and it was really warm like mad. sleeping on the bed is so much hotter than sleeping on the mattress below!! i don't know why. maybe science theory applies: hot air rises, cold air sinks. the bed area only can receive hot air?! lol

Malaysia, Punggai Trip Day 1
my first Astronomy Trip to Punggai. apparently, the Astro people tends to have monthly astro Punggai trip, no exception for this month. but this month we tagged along together with them as well.
they set off on a Friday night, just nice for us to end work, rush home, had a quick dinner, grab bag and off to Jurong East Interchange to meet the rest of them.
and together with Ginnette, Joshua, Moo and Xue Ni. time to set off to Malaysia, Punggai. in search for that white mini van, and poof, off we go!

after Malaysia Checkpoint, we travelled for another 1 hour before the van came to a stop at a 7-eleven. it was said that once we reached our chalet at Punggai, there won't be any mama shop or supermarket around for us to buy things. so we have to stock up whatever we need at the 7-eleven.
majority of us started spamming ourselves with packets and packets of potato chips, cup noodle, etc. anyway, 1 bought one packet of potato chip which i have never seen it in Singapore before, and also 2 cup noodle which couldn't be found in Singapore. sometimes, we have to try something different xD.

we travelled for another 1 hour 30 minutes to reach our destination, Chalet D'Punggai. by the time we reached, it was around 11.30pm. our surrounding was pretty dark, and there's nothing nearby. so we just followed the organiser who led us to our chalet hut.
the room was pretty big to fit the 5 of us, with 1 single bed and 1 queen size bed. when i first stepped into the room, it reminded me of the kampong resort i had in Tioman. the totally same kind of feel xD. very de kampong style! hahaha

since it was our first night here in Punggai, and it was already 12am plus, what else can we do besides spamming photos at this hour? can't possibly asked all of us to go sleep, we don't sleep that early xD

we stopped the photo spammed and started playing the card game, Pictureka!, which Xue Ni brought along. the game which really tested our English. the first game i lost terribly. haha. looks like after i graduated from secondary school, my language totally give back to teacher. haha
for the upcoming second and third game, i did pretty okayish. at least not as buang as the first one. haha. my first time playing Pictureka! not a bad game, quite enjoyable!! haha

well, after the hectic brain-squeezing-juice game, time to have supper. we boiled hot water using mineral water that we bought from 7-eleven. didn't really trust the water from the water tap =X haha. anyway, i cooked my Asam Laksa Cup Noodle, and it tasted not that bad, plus the chili tuna Xue Ni bought, totally heavenly!!~

we played even more crazy later on. we decided to shoot some "dead bodies" shot, Ginnette, Joshua, Moo and me just ping pong piang, and piack down on the bed immediately pretending to be "dead". it's fun actually xD

okay well, enough of all our nonsense and crap. it was already 2am and we were still full of energy. haha. spent some time reading magazine to kill time, and slowly one magazine was squeezed with 4 heads reading it. i forgot what's the interesting article about? haha.
and one good thing was, the TV here managed to receive Singapore channel. we managed to tune in to Channel U, and coincidently, it was the repeat telecast of 娱乐百分百 at 2.30am, and that episode was featuring Derrick Hoh. omgg, Moo, Xue Ni and me immediately flew our way and sat right infront of the television xD. and we were like 3 small kids totally glued to the tv.
Ginnette and Joshua, who seldom watch chinese show, went to bed instead.

anyway, we went to bed as well when our show ended at 3.30am. one bad thing about the room was, it was infested with alot of flying insects. i have to cover myself from head to toe to pretend them from attacking me =S
and what's worse i was woken up in the middle of the night due to the overly-itchyness i had on my face and toe. damn, mosquito kissed my face and my big toe! the toe part was the most itchy one, i couldn't stand it and went to grab my socks and wore it to sleep.
Xue Ni also couldn't stand it and went to bathe at 4am. like siao!!~ bathing at 4am. LOL! madness or what?!
it's 8am... and all of us were still in our deep deep sleep.
