this was so far, my most last minute, unprepared, not well organised and super duper grey kite flying day out. haha. well, we do not have a ground sheet to start with, or lets say a mat to lay our stuffs or our poor butt, went for a last minute hunting at Carrefour, but could not get one.
yeah, we did manage to get one in the end, but it was kinda small to fit 5 bags and 5 ass. hah. but nevermind, that was not important. and we also did a last minute shopping of snacks for our 'camping' over at the barrage. errr, we ended up having like so little things. that was like so pathetic.
if i gonna compared it with my other secondary school or Feriae outings. the organising part would be far more better, especially with Audrey or Joshua around. haha. that was why i named her the Miss Have-It-All, or Miss bao-ka-liao. haha. she would come with everything prepared, even emergency stuffs or what. hah BEST! and with Joshua, we have the most powerful bodyguard! hahaha
okay, back to this Happy Family outings day. after we get everything ready, we took train over to Marina Bay. and don't know should we consider sway or what, we came out of the MRT station and it started to rain. MY GOD!~
yay managed to umbrella all the way to the bus stop.
and GUYS, PLEASE remember to bring an umbrella out in future!
and the white ghostly kite that Wilson brought!
haha using human to measure the height of the kite
HEIGHT = 3.5 person
whee, we can fly!!!!
group photo with the kite
and the rain never really stopped. damn it! luckily we snacks and Monopoly Deal to play. yea found a clean and dry corner and started playing. and this was how we spent out afternoon playing at the Barrage.
the rain better stop! my aim today was to fly kite, not sit down there and play card.
Monopoly Deal and snacks of the day!
oh thank god, the rain finally stopped. we quickly packed our stuffs and moved our way up to the green field. Paul and Wilson started getting the kite to fly up, while the 3 of us remained down there like a flower pot. we refused to help and just sit down there and slack. looks like Paul and Wilson were the 2 flying the kite around. hahaha.
woohoo, it's flying up!
Paul and Wilson working hard on the kite...
Ginnette, Yvonne and me slacking yo!~
we spotted someone flying Singapore Flag kite. haha like so cute

GOOD BYE MARINA BARRAGE!
Labels: kite flying
yeah yet another very last minute plan out. it was actually suggested by Daphne last night, at the very last minute, right after our Sundown Marathon, close to midnight while we were waiting for MRT from Tanah Merah Station back home.
laughs, we were so enthu about this kite flying outing, like wow, after our 10km run, and we still have the strength to plan some activities for the next day. and what best was, all of us were okay with it :)
and so, here we are, meeting first before taking bus towards Marina Barrage for our kite flying activities. it would also be a picnic for all of us, each of us just bring one item will do!
bus towards Marina Barrage
this picture feels like inside a roller coaster
reached loh!
woooshhh! we reached finally. found a pretty good spot to lay the mattress on the grass, and time for picnic. displaying all foods and drinks out. and seriously, all my friends love green tea alot. you see, 3 bottles of green tea vs 1 peach tea + 2 lemon green tea (half green tea, still), + 1 pokka lemon tea. unfair wor!~
well, at least they bought pokka lemon tea for me YAY!~ and comes along the-so-many-different-brands-potato chips, cookies, cakes and sushi too, wow!!

drinks and our foods!

the girls!
whee!~ time to let the kite fly in the sky. initially, we only have 1 kite to play with, but then later on Audrey and Klevin went to buy 2 more kites to play. a spongebob one and a goldfish one. haha.
ohh well, all 3 kites managed to fly up high high. so fun, and we let the kite fly on its own, of course the string still attached with us, and then all of us gathered back to the mat to eat. we even spammed polaroid photos too!
it's flying!!!!~

time to take a short rest before continuing. anyway, there's a few guy who actually fly those mini kites, which link from one to another. and it actually linked by alot of mini kites. it's like so cool, but not that easy to fly it up.
