yeah yet another very last minute plan out. it was actually suggested by Daphne last night, at the very last minute, right after our Sundown Marathon, close to midnight while we were waiting for MRT from Tanah Merah Station back home.
laughs, we were so enthu about this kite flying outing, like wow, after our 10km run, and we still have the strength to plan some activities for the next day. and what best was, all of us were okay with it :)
and so, here we are, meeting first before taking bus towards Marina Barrage for our kite flying activities. it would also be a picnic for all of us, each of us just bring one item will do!

woooshhh! we reached finally. found a pretty good spot to lay the mattress on the grass, and time for picnic. displaying all foods and drinks out. and seriously, all my friends love green tea alot. you see, 3 bottles of green tea vs 1 peach tea + 2 lemon green tea (half green tea, still), + 1 pokka lemon tea. unfair wor!~
well, at least they bought pokka lemon tea for me YAY!~ and comes along the-so-many-different-brands-potato chips, cookies, cakes and sushi too, wow!!

whee!~ time to let the kite fly in the sky. initially, we only have 1 kite to play with, but then later on Audrey and Klevin went to buy 2 more kites to play. a spongebob one and a goldfish one. haha.
ohh well, all 3 kites managed to fly up high high. so fun, and we let the kite fly on its own, of course the string still attached with us, and then all of us gathered back to the mat to eat. we even spammed polaroid photos too!

we made our way to Bugis Junction for dinner. decided to settle our dinner at V8 cafe. seriously, very hungry already. besides ordering main course for ourselves, we also ordered Barbeque Wings and Cheese Potato Wedges to share.

and yay, before we go home, we went to take neoprints together. hahaha, recently pretty into neoprint taking. this was my... 3rd time taking neoprint within a month. power right?! today one was abit different from the previous 2 times, it's a full body neoprint wor!~ like nice....

interesting day. we're such a bunch of fun and outgoing people. one whole day spent fruitfully without wasting it. looking forward for more such activities ohhh.

triple event for the day. Picnic + Kite Flying + celebration Moo's 21st Birthday at Marina Barrage. we even set a colour theme: Yellow vs Blue!! we can only wear either yellow or blue for the day.
anyway, we've decided to each brought one kind of food for picnic, Ginnette, Xue Ni and me decided too make ours together xD. i met up with Ginnette first at AnchorPoint to get the remaining unbought ingredients at Cold Storage, and then went over to Xue Ni's house to start work.
and our food menu for the day was... Onigiri, Sandwiches, Sausages and Chicken + Cheese Spring Roll.

first, we started with Onigiri. i'm happily stuffing ham/eggs/tuna inside the Onigiri. and then with the leftover ingredients, we spread it to our sandwich bread.
and also for the frying part. our frying skills totally got no skill, luckily Xue Ni's grandma came to our rescue.. and so the main cooker for the day was actually her xD
Shun An joined us as well because we were still not ready yet, and so he came to help out as well. i think the most fun part was making the Spring Roll. this was our first time frying a spring roll, so we actually got no experience at all.
we stuffed big piece of chicken meat, half slice of cheese and then wrapped it to fry. and we ended up having burned spring roll. the cheese was too big, and it all melted out to the pot, destroying the whole pot. lol
and yea, we learnt our lesson, and so we decrease the ingredient portion and it all turned out quite edible =D
anyway, i gave up wrapping the spring roll, because i came to realise that i got no talent in it. my spring roll all looked OUT OF SHAPE!! and so i decided to do Quality Check on the spring roll. those still okayish looking one, i just scrape off the chao ta part and let it pass.
and it's pretty obvious that my QC was a successful one xD. because no one realised how horrible it looked like behind the scene =D

we quickly packed up everything and left the house. we took cab to Marina Barrage because we were actually quite late. but looks like we were the first to reach then.
the sky was not in it's best mood. dark clouds were covering the sky and it's a sign that it's going to rain any moment =S but we just cross our finger that it won't rain, and remained as where we were, while waiting for the rest to come!!

TIME FOR KITE FLYING!!!! the rain stopped, and the grass patch was pretty muddy. luckily i choose to wear slipper in the first place.

anyway, it's not easy to get the squid kite up in teh sky. we tried alot of times, but failed repeatedly! the squid kept on fly up and down it went to the ground, multipy times.. so fed up!!
and it must be due to the feng shui there. lol. we changed place to a further end, and with the help of Audrey, the squid finally made it's way up to the sky!!!!!

well, on the other hand, Edmund and Shun An were trying their best to fly the smaller kite up. and they failed terribly. Edmund way of flying a kite was horrible, he ran with the kite trying to create wind while running.. lol

anyway, both our kites, the squid and the firebird, really flew up damn high. it was so high until no other kite can actually pull it down. and 2 other kites were down, couldn't fly anymore. so we only left with the surviving Squid and Firebird one.

it was around 6.30pm that we decided to packed up and leave. the most horrible part was to rear back our kite. it was so damn high up that we actually took 15 minutes to bring the kite down to ground. so freaking long!!! we were tired of pulling and rearing the string back!!
