Chingay Parade 1 is down, and in less than 24 hours, we have to prepare for Chingay Parade 2. what a super busy weekend for us. and as usual, we meet at Promenade Station, went to the toilet inside PARCO Marina Bay to style our hair, before making our way to the F1 Pit Building
each participant was entitled to 2 Chingay Tickets worth $55 each
i gave both to my parent xD
hair done
we slowly made our way to the F1 Pit, registered our attendance and then quickly get our simplified make-up done by the make-up artiste there.
and then, it's back to waiting again. haha. since it's the last day for Chingay, and it's possible that this would be our last time seeing one another.. be it the chairperson, the choreographer, the dancers, the trainers or our new friends made throughout this long 4 months.
time to go around catching one another for photos.
with Jia Yun..

anyway, all the trainers were being called up on stage to perform a full 5+2 minutes dry run for all of us. and subsequently, the stage was free for access and participants can also volunteer themselves to go up to the stage and perform.
and as for us, we choose to walk around outside taking pictures with those floats and also made our way to the Popeyes for lunch.
WELL DONE, DANCERS!
Ginnette choose to take photo with this Chinese-lady
while i prefer the cute bee!!
with big big cactus and under the sea..
it's pretty funny to see how we pulled and carried and dragged the ladder to serve as tripod purpose. that's how we have so many timer-set photos. thanks to the ladder lol
different poses
don't attack!
we slowly strolled our way to the Popeyes to get something to munch. we didn't want to order set meal because there's dinner provided later on, don't really wanna stuff ourselves with so much foods, so we only ordered 1 large fries to share.
picture is a must!!
light snack!!
the sky turned dark all of a sudden, and we decided to quickly make a move back to our tentage in order not to be caught in the rain. anyway, it did not rain in the end at all. lol.
and we continued to take a picture with the floats around before moving in back to our tentage. dinner was served to us shortly.
some Japanese culture floats..
and we bumped into Amirul and Charmaine the moment we stepped inside the tentage. of course, time for pictures!!!
Charmaine, Ginnette, me and Amirul.
dinner..
plus Day 2 surprise: Ben & Jerry Ice Cream
after that is back to sit down and wait.... wait for the time to past, wait for the people to gather back, wait for the briefing to start. seriously, everyone is getting so excited when the time is getting nearer and nearer.
before we went to our own formation, group, row and column. there's still one and last final briefing from Kenneth, Jin Wen and Melvin, telling us how and what to do when we were at the performing area. last and final day already, of course we must put up the LAST FINAL BEST PERFORMANCE!!!
people in pink!!~
us, sitting and waiting...
giving out briefing..
our LED Light Sleeve.
and as usual, a last final practise before we went to form into our formation, queued up and prepared for our upcoming turn next. anyway, we were the last performing contingent, so there's no more others queueing behind us, and we were actually involved in the grand finale, the big big red cloth and as well as the passing on of the lantern.
last practise..
and today was the second day of our performance, second day facing thousand over audiences, and the so many cameraman plus photographer. whatever stage fright, nervous, paiseh-ness, low-profile all was dumped aside, and we just went on to give our best performance.
our turn finally after the Malay Dance..
see, our PAYM Banner was coming up next...
F1 Pit was flooded with a sea of pinks.
anyway, after the whole entire Chingay performance was over, it's still not the end for us yet. after all the audiences left, we have to proceed to the other side of the performing area, standby, getting ready for the next performance, as we were actually selected to perform for the Grand Opening Dance for City Alive!, which was the biggest street dance party only open for 18 and above.
as this was not a compulsory, it was voluntary and up for individual whether to dance anot because there's high chances to end after midnight and there would be no more last bus back home. those Sec 1s have no choice to join at all, because their school bus is fetching them back to their school.
and as for us, we were attending City Alive! after everything ended. no commitment after that, no last bus to catch, so why not just stay back a little while to perform for the Grand opening! xD it's once in a lifetime experience!~
anyway, Moo managed to find us while we were at the waiting area..
with Moo
the LED light power!!
piggyback Ginnette.
i'm strong!!
while waiting, we spotted those dancers walking around and was tempted to take photo with them. hahaha. eagerly went forward like small fans asking for to take a photo with each of them..
with Jun Wei
with Freddie
he's so far, one of my favourite dancers..
with Benjamin
Moo managed to snap a picture of all the dancers together.
and ya, soon after waiting for 45 minutes or so. finally the F1 Pit was cleared, they really vacuumed the place in zooming speed. haha. and the door is open for us to enter, standby in our position, waiting for the guests to arrive, and we danced the City Alive! Opening with our 5+2 minutes dance song.
and how lucky was that Audrey, Daphne and Moo came in at the right time to find us dancing for the Opening, and what's more to bump into one of our long-lost Secondary School classmates, Matthew and his girlfriend. haha.
anyway, after the Opening, each of everyone of us have to return back to our tentage and we have to use our our own City Alive! ticket for re-entry. this was to prevent any underage joker trying to sneak into a restricted place =D
back to our tentage, we took our own sweet time queueing for our bags, wet tissue was distributed around to clean off the face paint on our face, and there's still Ben & Jerry Ice Cream left. eating ice cream during midnight was damn shiok!
Ben & Jerry
and time for prize giving ceremony. a token of appreciation, from the organisation, to all the choreographers and dancers for their time, effort and contribution.

after staying inside the tentage for more than an hour, we decided to walk over to City Alive! at 1am to join the rest of our friends.
this time round we have to go through by the main entrance with tickets. tickets showed, IC checked, and off we went in to the Singapore Biggest Street Dance Party!!!!
City Alive tickets
some artistic project.
with designed chair all stacked up.
City Alive!
Here we are~~
we went inside, and found the rest of our friends sitting at the chair waiting for us. anyway, there's nothing to do except take picture, dance, take picture, dance. haha. nothing much, really! and it shall be photo spammed ahead..
Cool eh?!

flooded with people!!

colour changing wor...
anyway, we did not stay for long. we left the place at around 2.20am. Audrey and Daphne took cab home, while Ginnette, Moo and me decided to go for supper. i got this horrible gastric pain due to hunger, and i'm dying to have food to stop the pain.
we ended go walking from Pit Building to Marina Square, but then the McDonald's there's has no 24 hours service. and thus, we have to continue walking back to Raffles Place McDonald's.
EXIT!

Pit Building - Marina Square (2.45am)
Marina Square @ 2.45am
Pit Building - Marina Square - Raffles Place B (3.00am)
haha. ended up having supper at Raffles Place McDonald's. immediately ordered foods for myself, and eat it like some hungry ghost. at least, the gastric pain slowly subside. we stayed inside the McDonald's till 4am, and finally we decided to not waste anymore time, and started night walking back home.
Pit Building - Marina Square- Raffles Place- New Bridge Road (4.30am)
rest for awhile
Pit Building - Marina Square - Raffles Place - New Bridge Road - Kampong Bahru (5.00am)
resting at every 3 to 4 bus stop
Pit Building - Marina Square - Raffles Place - New Bridge Road - Kampong Bahru - Telok Blangah Way (5.51am)
finally we were at Telok Blangah already. and it's almost 6am, we looked at the bus directory and my first bus actually coming at around 6.09am, while Ginnette's first bus was around 6.20am. i really have no more strength to continue my journey back home. i'm still 7 bus stops away from home, and so we decided to sit at the bus stop and wait for our individual first bus back home.
Telok Blangah Way.
damn tiring and shag. looked at our chui look. it's like out for the whole entire day from morning till night till morning. energy level from full, now left till the tiny bit. tired until no strength, have to go home and charge, and somemore we are still meeting each other later on to visit Sentosa Flowers, last day of the event already. we mustn't miss it.
off to catch some sleep.....
